there was some girl waiting for a bus in queensborough while talking on her cell phone and standing in the road, just next to the part of the road where the snow is pushed away from the cars driving over it.

right where the road turns too, i came pretty close to rolling down my window and yelling at her to GTFO, even a little bit of traction loss and i could have gone sailing right into her.

what a moron

Any of you guys heard of all weather tires? Gfs dad says they got snow flake symbols on them. Anyone confirm?

I did a google for you and got this...

Our “All-Weather Plus” Nokian WRG2 and Nokian WRG2 SUV offer the best performance in every season. These tires include the “severe service emblem” indicating that they are highly effective in winter driving conditions. But unlike other winter tires, they do not need to be removed during the summer. Drivers in areas that experience winter can now have one set of tires that will work for all seasons.

Q. Are "all weather" tires winter tires?

A. The all weather tire is another designation that’s thrown around especially by a couple of brand names. It’s a tire that’s just soft enough or just pliable enough to qualify as a winter tire that’s in the compound of the tread blocks, but designed to be used all year long, more like an all season. The problem is that it’s not perfect at either thing. It’s still too hard to be fully optimized as a winter tire. You’re better off getting a pure winter tire.

i know nokian makes all weathers better than A/S on snow but still inferior to dedicated snow tires

all weathers are like A/S's with a LITTLE better snow performance, thats wut google says

gloors 11-25-2010 11:36 AM

Hmm kk. Just was concerned. Dads gf driving around with it on his civic. Should buy him a set of winter tires for his christmas present

Can't wait till skytrain breaks down during rush hours! Then ppl will be waiting in the station for 3hours and bitch!

Hopefully then transit will then improve their service.

Wishful thinking, sir.

My goodyear wranglers blow in the snow. My bald ass all seasons were better than these tires. Went up a moderate incline and they were spinning.... had to use 4wd to get up

I got mine last weekend. Be prepared bro. Too bad he couldn't get our orange ones. I'm hoping they would've tasted better :D

MindBomber 11-25-2010 12:13 PM

Just got off highway 1, between highway 11 and 232nd its pretty rough. Snow if blowing hard, multiple vehicles in the ditch, slow lane traveling between 50-70km.
