I was on highway 1 between Gaglardi and Willingdon this afternoon and it's basically packed ice with a light dusting of snow. Gonna be an adventure for anyone out there tomorrow. I'm surprised there weren't cars in the ditch considering how fast some of the cars were going.

I went to Princess Auto, Lee Valley Tools and Home Depot in Coquitlam and nobody was out driving. It was nice. Packed snow on United, but clear on Lougheed. At least one lane. I just traveled on the packed snow. No issues in the Ridgeline with Michelin XIce snows.
Going to Bellingham tomorrow early in the morning. Gonna take my sweet time. When laundry has to get done, it has to get done, lol. Hopefully, Trader Joe's will have the Pecan Kringle. I don't like the almond ones they've had for the last two months. Anyway............. sort of wrong thread.
Getting snow off the truck was a challenge. Damn roof rack. Frozen solid and if windshield has any kind of water on it and you park for more than 15 minutes, it's ice. Forgot I had intermittent wiper setting on and nearly shredded the rubber of the wiper. Lesson learned. Wipers off, defrost on, give it five minutes, it's all good.
Forgot to mention. I saw a Mercedes stuck on the side of the road. Like really stuck. I offered to pull him out. He didn't know what a tow hook was. Young guy with two others trying to help. Hey, I offered. All he needed to do was pop the cover off the bumper and screw the tow hook on. I had a tow rope with a locking hook on it............... a gentle pull while he tries to get out is all it takes. Anyway.

good thing i removed the snow off the camry yesterday, today its completely frozen over. Now i can just warm it up and drive off while the wife goes twiddling around in her RX
boggles my mind how the surface wasn't prepped again.
took lougheed, then detoured up to SFU... which was completely cleared, then down to hastings and onwards to kits.. probably 20 mins behind or so only. Looks like nobody takes Barnet hwy at all / hastings

Got my first ATV plow this year. Makes moving the snow we had so much easier. Living in a cul de sac and on a steep hill, the city never comes. So I decided to help all the neighbours out. Plowed the whole street and sidewalks. While the homeowners just have to clean up the scraps and salt. Also helped pushed a Uhaul up the hill using the plow for a neighbor that was moving out (worst day to choose), but we made it up.
What takes 1 push with the plow, is like 20+ shovels of snow.

Neighbour of the year award right there! You should get lots of butter cookies for Christmas from those who live in that cul-de-sac.
lol was in queue for knight street, said fuck it and went to Arthur Laing

we always get our shop yard plowed by a neighbour with an atv as well.
you can actually make some decent coin by doing it as well, mostly sidewalks and small parking lots. my neighbour charges like $120/hr cash. not a bad way to pay off your atv in a few years
Last night I watched a mustang burn through a quarter tank of his gas trying to make it up this huge hill (it's not a huge hill, it's a very gentle incline), over about 10 minutes. https://goo.gl/maps/i7YQvkBXdhPRfxDv6
Dude was literally bouncing off the rev limiter inching forwards. That we live amongst these fucktards, is truly dismaying.
Looks like the lazy fucks in Richmond didn't plow on the weekend. All of No.5 from Westminster to River is unplowed.
In Delta, I saw them plow and salt like 5 times on Saturday morning.
Yesterday when my wife was on her way home from work around 9pm, she was saying Richmond’s roads were completely unplowed and pure ice. The moment she got through the tunnel it was clear and well brined/salted/plowed lol. It was very obvious Richmond did nothing but delta was on the ball
Colder than a witches tit out there. I went for my jog at lunch, surprisingly the sidewalks were better than last snowfall as far as being slippery but holy shit is it cold, especially if you're out there for 45 minutes in areas with no wind breaks.
I don't want to make excuses but I'm not sure I'll be able to do it again tomorrow lol.

It is bloody cold. I didn’t even wanna bring the chi chi’s outside today. They are having an indoor day. Glad I shovelled last night as today all I needed to do was just throw salt on top.
My prick neighbour has to chip ice this morning off his driveway.
