Was trying to get to Richmond today at 1130 and took me 30 mins to cross Knight bridge from 57th and Knight. Couldn't tell from afar looked like a fender bender but as I got close it was some dude in a Civic with his wheels spinning and spinning blocking the left lane. I mean yea the road on the bridge wasn't amazing but there was barely an incline and literally every single type of car, snow tires or not were just cruising by for the entire 30 mins I was there. Finally though I was in the clear, took Bridgeport East exit and some big semi was stuck at the exit where you merge onto Bridgeport, again wheels spinning, back up and forward again and again. Luckily he finally got to a point after 10 mins that he was far enough to the right where cars could pass him on the left. For fuck sakes it was wack out there. |
So you are saying is that I have a chance to get home from the Auto Mall to Deer Lake? |

I was at the Still Creek Costco this morning and was surprised to see how busy it was (full) and how many people aren't running winters (maybe 25% had winters). Sure, the main roads are mostly ok but I doubt these folks were just driving on main roads. |
In surrey, it was extremely easy getting around. I didnt have to put it in 4x4 once. I actually made it to work and home alot quicker than usual cause it seemed like some people got the point and stayed home. |
Did some gift shopping today. Got a lot done in less than two hours. Probably would’ve taken 4 hours min if the roads were dry and it wasn’t -9 out :notbad: |
Only 1.5 hours home today... not bad. That 11.5 hour commute last time really puts things into perspective. |
i was bored, so i drove to richmond costco for lawls. Perfect day to go to costco, not too many idiots and the road condition wasnt too bad. starting to come down again when i left https://i.postimg.cc/3w5jCmv2/IMG-7132.jpg |
Was at the local mall. I probably could have taken a better pic, but who cares. Why's this guy on Extreme ContactSports when there's snow and ice on the ground. https://i.imgur.com/XIjvpuy.jpg Just irresponsible. I hope he gets stuck. |
I don't think you can move at all on summer tires |
Living near Boundary is certainly interesting / eye-opening. Driving the CoV side of things, arterial roads were still minimally shoveled, while the same road on the other side of Boundary is plowed and salted. It was almost like Burnaby went out of its way to insult CoV on how pathetic their snow clearing efforts are. |
Been encountering these fucking dbags that come out of small streets, then drive like a fucking snail holding up traffic. Just wanna bitch at these idiots. |

woooooaaaa Still coming down strong right now. This is nuts. I'm glad I don't need to leave the house for anything today. It's going to be a shitshow again. |
I'm definitely staying home today. My cars outside were only dusted with snow. Now it looks like it's not even there LOL Sent from my SM-G781W using Tapatalk |
We have at least 6 inches of snow and it's still falling. I started shovelling, got half my driveway done and was like might as well wait for it to stop and then wake my son up, he can get out there. |

All flights leaving YVR are cancelled. Talk about a shitshow at the airport: https://vancouver.citynews.ca/2022/1...sengers-stuck/ Vancouver International Airport has been significantly impacted by Tuesday’s massive snowstorm, with all flights leaving the airport cancelled until further notice. YVR says in a statement the snowstorm has had an “unprecedented” impact on flights and operations, leading to mass cancellations. “Travel continues to be significantly impacted this morning & we anticipate cancellations to continue through the day and the week ahead,” it said. Prior to cancelling flights, many passengers endured a sleepless night on the tarmac. YVR says because of the heavy snow and low visibility, a significant number of flights were delayed or cancelled, which caused congestion on the airfield with aircraft holding at gates and on the tarmac. |
its 8:20 and im sitting at home eating baguette cheese crisps and capicola for breakfast. The snow is piled sky high and i have no intention of going out there to touch it until i finish my tea and breakfast. THIS IS WINTER!!!!! finally.
