The one I had didn't have a way to control the angle. If it could shoot at a low angle so that the snow would just hit my fence, instead of shoot over it, that would have made it so much more useful.
i was watching videos and the reviewer said you have to do sidewalks at an angle so it blows it to the side, seems reasonable enough though going in a straight line would be faster

I have this little thing and used it for the first time today. It was not designed for the depth of snow we had but it was still helpful in terms of reducing the physicality of it. Snow was so deep I had to do 2 passes but the 2nd pass went by pretty quick once it was less than 6" deep. I haven't tired with slushy snow but I would guess it's not great at it.

For $200 including a battery it does the job and takes up very little space in my garage (I have nowhere to store the $500+ machines).
i'm low on space too, let me know how it works when it's not dry/light fluffy snow. be interested how it fairs in our more typical wet snow / slush
it looks like it takes the space of 2 shovels and i'm already in the ryobi line

SW Cloverdale, on the hill looking into Langley. It's actually been really quiet, used to live in Clayton and that was uh.....full of people lol. Most these houses don't have basements so no suites which keeps the traffic down.

I thought about buying a snowblower this year, after last years snow storm. But I figured hell it's just one day, why spend the money. Well. I wish I bought the snowblower lol.

I plowed and salted again last night to get rid of the left over that I couldn't get with a shovel. Went back out there again today to clean up the rest of the sidewalk. I'm the only person on my street (and it's a bus route) that has a completely cleared (you can see concrete) sidewalk. smfh.

It's BC, expect nothing less than stupidity when it comes to designing infrastructure.

A few winters ago, I bought one of these and used it to clear some snow in Whistler.

https://www.rona.ca/en/product/snow-...-323e-14585041

Similar to the Ryobi, but corded.

I have to say, ours didn't work very well.

When pushing forward, it scrapes the ground of course, but kept getting caught on ruts and uneven portions which would cause an abrupt halt to your forward motion. That happens with manual shovels too, but shovels are light, and this thing wasn't.

It wasn't very good with heavier, wet snow. Might be better in the interior where the snow is drier and lighter.

The cord was super annoying.

And it just sprays the snow forward, into your walking path, making even more snow in front of you to clear away.

Hopefully your experience was better than mine!

Shit was already heavy by 10am, worth doing it twice, hitting it again at 5PM. Can't imagine what the people who are doing it today are feeling, it's probably solid ice now.

When did Pho places start giving out Lemons instead of Limes? I started noticing this too. I mean wtf they're not the same thing.

I hate it when a pho place uses lemon in place of lime. What a cultural insult!

It seems like all pho places are cheaping out these days giving out lemons instead of limes... Rare to see Jalepeno slices anymore too.

Pho was already more than $8 before covid. The cheapest was probably $11, but now it's $14 for the cheap end and 17-18 for high end stuff.

I always thought this was a seasonal thing because almost every pho place I go to seems to switch from time to time

I mean I get it, you get bigger lemons for the same price as a lime so it's a cost savings but they're both in stores year round
