Last year there was a lime shortage. Poor harvests plus the cartels control the market in Mexico apparently? So availability + pice issues.

This isn’t just a last year thing though, which is why I figured it was like a seasonal thing the restaurants were doing actively, because I swear I’ve seen the lemons and limes being rotated in and out for over a decade

I'll either go to Ha Cafe or Pho Hong in Burnaby.
Been going to Ha Cafe since they were in Old Orchard, but they moved to across Metrotown (where Yaguchiya used to be) so parking isn't as great. Used to see the owner there everyday cleaning in the evening, so I started going there more often.
Later in the night, I'll usually go to Pho Hong since they're basically 24/7, lol. Portions have been consistency huge for the past 20 years and they give you a crap ton of meat.

Anyone try Tang Viet at the end of Alderbridge Road in Richmond, or the bougey Pho Banh Mi Tres Bon at the Walmart plaza?
Has anyone gone to a pho where they give you a nice beef rib with bone? I see it in foodie IG but have never went to one in Vancouver.
How did this spiral into pho .. Badhobz, who else ??!!

Hobz’ post had me thinking pho today but my sick kid shot that idea down in an instant.
More fuel for Hobz’ fire to be sure.

How did this spiral into pho .. Badhobz, who else ??!! | I've only ever had the banh mi there. It's good but perhaps a bit pricey for what it is. My friend has a place in Vancouver he says he's been going to for 20+ years. The name escapes me right now.

Pho Zen at Marine and Fraser is pretty good. They have up to a XXL under $20.
Back to snow:
I dug out my cars. One was parked on the street. 12" wet snow consistency. Used the snow blower to clear in front/back of the car. Roughly double the amps to clear but did ok. Cleared down to the bare road, even the hardpack that's been run over by cars.
Best part was not caring how much show was cleared off the car. Just push it all off and then run the SB to clear.
I'd recommend one that can take 2 batteries at once so you can run both for the full runtime, or one while the other's charging to minimize down time.

At least their prices are still reasonable. Kebab kobideh only 16 bucks. Man that’s the same price as pho.
Individual beef kebab only 6 bucks. That’s crazy good.

Pho Kitchen is pretty good. $14.95 for a large Pho.
This place is near the corner of Renfrew street and Grandview Highway
A bright modern decor at Pho Kitchen.
As for snow, it is raining now. Wash away the snow haha.

i had that, its not as good as thai son in my opinion. The broth is not as meaty. Just look at the picture i took today, that thing was LOADED w/ meat. It helps that im a regular there, but in general ive never had a bad meal at thai son on Kingsway / Richmond / Marine Drive. The victoria Thai son is hit and miss.

I liked Thai Son before it moved locations. After the move, I felt like portion got smaller and it was more expensive. Gotta pay for those renos.

Are the CC2's only good on certain vehicles? Have them on a fwd Sienna, not all season slippery but not too confident on them in snow anything outside of flat roads

Anyway, Tang Viet isn't the place to go for a simple pho. It's the place to go to pick up some viet girls and have some pretty decent drinks. They do not water down their alcohol. Strong af.
They always play Viet club (hardstyle) music there LOL.
