My nokians have been awesome the last few days, driving through heavy snow might as well be pavement.

There's no reason to fear snow if your properly equipped.

Exactly.

Bitch all you want, snow haters. A couple snow days out of our rainy year can't hurt if you're well prepared

It's not as noticeable as snow, but winter tires make a big difference in the low temperatures we've had as well. All seasons freeze and get hard in these temperatures, whereas winter tires stay soft and stick to the road.

A 10 degree change in the temperature forecast from the one a few hours ago, how the fuck does that happen.

Look at a forecast where the people actually are IN Vancouver.

http://vancouver.weatherpage.ca/

And if you're truly interested, look at some maps and read the forum.

http://forums.weathercity.com/?id=114

Forget looking at TWN, VWP and EC are better.

Environment Canada >>>> Weather Network. Few years ago when I was working with a CASCAR team, we'd be checking both constantly leading up to race weekends (mainly for temps - tire prep depends on it). TWN was always WAY off from the actual conditions... EC was usually pretty close.

They do aviation forecasts, for which accuracy and actual conditions are critical. If they screw up... people can die.
