My noob mistake for the year

Coles notes on my trip. Didn't check to make sure my truck had a jack, guess what, it didn't! And I blew a tire.

This is what happens when you drive on a flat for 16km's on a gravel road.

What the road was for most of the trip back, was much steeper than it looks and it was ice covered... Literally couldn't stand on it without sliding. And my 19 year old factory tires did superb on it... Figures i would destroy one of my brand new tires...

I blew the tire with 32k left to go. With about 4k left to go a couple truck drove past me, one happened to be a 4Runner who had the factory jack on him... It was fun changing a tire on a very steep icy hill haha. Hats off to those guys.

Alphamale 11-22-2010 10:12 AM

BCAA doesn't go 40k off-road to you.

GabAlmighty 11-22-2010 04:34 PM

I don't think my girlfriend would be too happy about me posting pictures of her on the web... But to tease you a little more; she has trouble buying shirts sometimes because her boobs are too big for the shirts she fits into.

This, plus we had spotty reception. I do have the gold membership though, I have 2? 160km tow's.

In other news, scheduled my truck in for Wednesday to get the same tire back on the truck haha.

hk20000 11-22-2010 05:21 PM

couldn't you line the truck into some ditch in a certain way so the truck is lifting its own wheel?

just saying.....you are offroad already.

fliptuner 11-22-2010 05:33 PM

What's the tire size? Might have a spare

triplexcel 11-22-2010 05:45 PM

that track looks scary as shit to drive in lol..but i guess its fine to drive in if your going that slow.

btw, great background music (seriously hahah)

Tried something like that, but I don't have a winch and I was with nobody else so I had to find something I could roll out of after and not get stuck in. Turns out you need a fair sized drop to get the back wheel up

31x10.5 I'm getting a new tire though, it was brand new and don't feel like having 3 different tires on there.

Ya, I was rolling between 30-40km/h down the hills. Only had one corner that scared me a bit. And thanks:P Sounds like I was bumping it but it was actually realy quiet (I hate not being able to hear the car/road).

fliptuner 11-22-2010 05:51 PM

Yup, that's what I rolled home on once those guys helped me out. There's nothing wrong with it besides being old.
