^^^ must be the owner's vehicle or something. don't think they'd actually use it as a patrol vehicle.

Wow... US CBP sure has a cool fleet of vehicles. Unlike our neighbor, the only CBSA vehicles I've seen roaming around are the GMC Safari's from the 1990's...

Stopping those illegal American migrants from crossing the border untaxed.

And stopping the smuggling of Twinkies, Payday and Hohos across the border.

I think this is pathetic.

There have been 28000 deaths recently on the us mexico boarder yet they dont watch them. Texas and arizona are having missive issues and the feds are too distracted with the war on drugs yet mainstream media will tell you that the cia helps the cartel import the heroin but the dea will give you 5-10 for one oz of pot. The US tax payers are in enough debt from their fiat currency being laundered by the "private" federal reserve and goldman sachs to off shore banks that are the same people bankrupting the US and mexico.

The boarder doesnt need useless leather and A/C trucks, they need tanks.

Actually the US border Raptors have had their luxurious interior's stripped down via a special order through Ford directly. You cannot order the Raptors that way but they were not going to be approved unless they were able to work out the deal to have them custom built to their standards deemed "acceptable". They actually had a difficult time getting the Raptors approved from what I have heard. They probably also got a deal for buying bulk, and because of who they are and the purpose they will serve. Also, the Raptors are a lot cheaper in the US than out here. If military folks and persistant americans can get them at invoice.. I am sure a bulk order like that is saving a big chunk too.

Still seems excessive from an outside perspective... But if they have a track record for repairing vehicles not suitable for the terrain.... it could be justified if their new toys hold up better & require less maintenance over time.

Time will tell.

Realistically, some lightly modified Rangers/Tacomas may have been more cost effective.

US Military has also gotten their hands on a buncha Raptors, in addition to several Parks Rangers , fire departments, police departments.
