^luck of the draw with the agents?

I don't know how useful the my canadian citizenship card would be... sure it has my picture but i was 7 years old then..

How's the border northbound on Easter Monday afternoon/evenings?

I know most people should have work...but I believe kids/school are off, and there might be families that take extended long weekend trips?

racerman88 04-06-2015 11:51 AM

Just depends on when you come back.
If you come back at a different time like 8pm, the wait should be minimal. Nexus is never that long anyways.

I recently completed my 6 month daughter application and it was conditionally approved in like 3 weeks. I just booked an interview in the Blaine office for Thursday Apr 30 (4 business days later).

I checked the YVR location and the next appointment isn't until May 20 or something...

So many more openings in Blaine.

SoulCrusher 04-26-2015 08:26 PM

There are minimal waits at the new Blaine enrollment Center. Good time to get it done

tomatogunk 05-09-2015 07:31 AM

Applied some time in January, completed the interview late April and got my card two weeks after that. First time crossing the border yesterday to pick up parcels, was in and out within 10 minutes.

Levitron 05-09-2015 06:37 PM

Anyone renew recently?

I'm currently out of the country...do you need to get an interview?

NEXUS - Membership renewals - this says no interview needed but on the GOES website there seems to be a requirement for interview.

Impreza 05-10-2015 07:53 AM

I think the interview is random. My wife just renewed and she need to book an interview. My coworker and his wife renewed last year and he didn't have one but his wife did.

van_city23 06-05-2015 11:59 AM

just booked my interview for end of the month at the airport. A lot of openings in blaine though. Anyone know if the blaine location and the main street location allow you to do the iris scan? I read somewhere that not all enrolment locations have the iris thing

Do you have to go to a NEXUS enrollment center to update your job info?

racerman88 06-21-2015 10:50 PM

See if you can update it on the GOES site first

Last time I was told to do it in person. You don't need to book an appointment, so you just drop in and tell them you want to update your work info and they'll do it on the spot.

I sent in my application a while ago and noticed that they recently charged my CC. Should I be expecting an email or a call to set up my interview soon? Or is it still going to take a long time?

Mr.HappySilp 07-16-2015 07:42 AM

Just a quick question if I am flying elsewhere (IE Japan, France) can I use my Nexus pass at the boarder to pass through customs (Nexus lines seems a lot shorter than the regular one). And when i come back (from another country) is there a Nexus line as well?

They'll charge you your fee regardless if your conditionally accepted or not. You are most likely not going to get an email, you just need to check the goes website

I applied with my mail, when I go to the goes website, I need to register and it asks for my ID and stuff that I do not have...

They just added a card counter at Pacific Highway crossing

donot521 06-05-2016 09:01 PM

Just a quick question
Can I still use nexus to go down to Seattle when my passport is expired?

Thanks

IMASA 06-05-2016 09:19 PM

Did you use your passport as supporting documentation to apply for your Nexus? If so, I would imagine an expired passport would make your Nexus card invalid. You would have to go into GOES to update your supporting documents.

bcrdukes 06-06-2016 05:14 AM

On the basis of technicality, your NEXUS membership is invalid if and when your passport has expired.

Going into the US and re-entering Canada with an expired passport when using your NEXUS will have its risks, so bear that in mind.

Traum 06-06-2016 09:13 AM

On a different note, when I first applied for my Nexus, I didn't even have a current passport. During the application process, the US Customs dude just made a comment along the lines of "that's gonna make things interesting..." and everything still proceeded fine. I just couldn't do a retina scan since that part was associated with the passport.

For the next 2 - 3 years, I only had a valid Nexus pass, but continued without a passport. I never had a single problem with the land crossings into and back from the US.

Gucci Mane 06-06-2016 09:52 AM

^ yup, same with my mom. her passport has been expired since april and hasn't had a single issue with land crossings.

wingies 06-06-2016 12:05 PM

^^my passport just expired and I was at the passport office, adn they told me that your nexus is still valid by land travel, But you cannot fly with your nexus if your passport is expried, also you must update your passport on the GOES website when you get your new one.

donot521 06-07-2016 05:38 AM

Great thanks for all the replies.
Can I also use nexus at non-nexus lane? Since the other passengers on the car don't have it.
