probably makes no difference but my passport is at passport canada getting certified copies...and my nexus was still valid entering into the US

if my membership is revoked why didn't they send me into secondary or confiscate my card?

will be going down again next weekend, should i try my luck then, or call/go to the nexus enrolment centre on main street to find out wtf is going on?

i'm thinking the rfid inside the card is just dead, is all

I think it's the battery inside the card. We have a similar problem, our renewal is next summer and I'm already having a hard time scanning my wife's card at PR as well.

twitchyzero 10-29-2018 12:52 PM

yep nexus office said my acct is fine
asked me to try again crossing the border, if it's still wonky then maybe request a replacement card

XplicitLuder 11-07-2018 08:58 AM

my card hasn't scanned for the last like 6 month figured something dead inside, so I just hand the card to the officer at the booth and he does it manually, never been an issue though.

Month 3 and still waiting... would be nice to have a card that reads properly LOL

yup since I point my card at the reader but it still shows " 0 " so it hasn't scanned it, so when im up front I give it to him and he punches it in.

I crossed at Pt Roberts about 2 months ago and the card reader still read "0" after I waved my card at it for 5-10 seconds. I proceeded forward and the US customs officer gave me an earful before swiping my card through the machine. First time I've ever had this happen in 5 years of having a Nexus.

twitchyzero 11-13-2018 09:56 AM

mine's acting weird because it'll scan going into US, but not coming back
the agent didnt' say anything though

Finally got "conditionally approved" about 5mins ago, (august 6th to nov 28th (wait time), and my current one expires first week of December lol) so I guess its time to book an interview :$ was hoping I wouldn't have to interview again like some of you guys who just got the new card.

jackmeister 11-28-2018 10:43 AM

just heard on radio the Nexus line is 6am to midnight heading into the USA (previously the Nexus line closed at 9pm) for Peach Arch

My wife is in the same boat. She completes the application in the first week of Aug, and she still hasn’t heard back yet.

I don't think conditionally approved means you automatically have an interview. Mine was conditionally approved for a renewal and they just sent me a card.

I think it tells you specifically Interview Required, or something like that.

Doesn't come into effect until Dec 23.

That would be my guess.

Anyone submit a renewal lately? With the partial Gov't shutdown, wondering how much extra time is needed. Mine expires in May 2019

twitchyzero 03-04-2019 11:02 AM

get it in ASAP
my niece's has been 3+ months now for initial application
there's a good chance you'll miss the current expiry date

Just submitted mine because of this thread.

IMASA 03-04-2019 01:25 PM

I submitted my renewal during the shutdown last Dec and I got my approval and new card in Feb, was quite surprised.

jing 03-04-2019 03:15 PM

Waifu got her renewal in about 6 weeks.

punkwax 03-04-2019 05:18 PM

Traveled by air to Cancun last week and realized my nexus had expired. Wasn’t really any slower than my colleagues who used theirs.. guess so many people who travel by air regularly have it so the lineups weren’t all that different tbh.

Then I went to trader Joes yesterday by ground. Need ma Nexus back. Renewing now lol

Gh0stRider 03-04-2019 06:24 PM

Just submitted mine, fingers crossed.

jing 03-05-2019 03:12 PM

How's this for efficiency...

Renewal application submitted Feb. 27
Approval received Mar. 4

3 business days!

XplicitLuder 03-10-2019 10:28 AM

So I haven't thought about my Nexus in a while but I just realized im still stuck here...

So I had applied for renewal in August, eventually got an interview late January, but only had the Canadian questions done as the US was still shutdown so I never got an interview from them, I was told they would contact me or something like that to reschedule. Its now March, and still haven't heard anything lol Not sure how to proceed...guess ill call nexus line
