On a side note, I asked the agent when would be the best time to "renew" the nexus pass and he said at the very earliest, 5 months prior to expiration. Any earlier and they will not approve the renewal. |

Just did my application... put it off for quite a bit. How do you know when you have an interview? Do you have to keep checking the site or will there be an email? |
email |
just to give you guys an update I went back with my citizenship card, and they took a photocopy and that was it! Didnt need to change all my documents. They said it should be ok and I got an email later saying I was approved and to wait for my card! I seriously dunno why the cbsa was being such a pain in my ass for? |

B/c I go to buy gas all the time and to go down for shopping. Be truthful and only answer the questions they ask. Don't give more answers than you need to. |

this may be a silly question..but since my interview is in blaine (im assuming on the US side) do you guys think ill still need to line up and cross over or should i pull up in a parking lot on the BC side and just walk up to the border lol dont wanna get hassle for doing it wrong |
havent been to blaine before for interview, but pretty sure you still have to cross over to the states to get it done edit: http://getnexus.com/?page_id=15 doesnt look like an official CBSA site but the info and links are legit |

Once clear, make your way to the NEXUS office. The officers there will tell you where to go. From that point, it's pretty smooth sailing. The NEXUS office is pretty quiet for the most part so you may or may not have to wait very long for the interview, hence my suggestion to arrive early. The interview process itself is pretty quick and easy anyway. So let's say your interview is scheduled for 2pm, you arrive at 1:15pm to be safe, if they aren't busy (and most likely they won't be) they will slip you in rather than have you waiting. After all, they don't want people in their face so they want you in and out as quick as possible. Not to mention, they would rather have candidates show up early than be late. Being late should be your biggest fear. I did my renewal there once and also picked up a set of Travel Declaration Cards (TDC) on a seperate occassion. I was in and out in less than 15 minutes. Mind you, this was over 5 years ago. :D |
We just received all our Nexus cards today. The interview was back on 29Nov, so about a week an half.... |
apparently nexus hours are being shortened? |
^ lol. Where did you hear that? Source? Nexus southbound at Huntington/Sumas is being reduced due to lack of usage. All other ports are unaffected. Provide us more detail. |

The hours are 7am to 11am I think? It made the newspaper for the last couple of days. |
It's not that big of a deal when because when the NEXUS lane is not in operation, it's pretty quiet at the normal lanes. You can use your Nexus pass there. |
All times are GMT -8. The time now is 08:07 AM. |
