HTC Legend

Anyone have a HTC Legend?

http://www.gsmarena.com/htc_legend-3141.php

Gf's planning to get it but would like to know if its a good phone or not..

Pro's/Con's anyone?.

Most likely getting it from phonemore btw.. (never bought from them so are they trustworthy?)

She would probably much prefer the Aria.

EDIT: I didn't realize there was a US version of the Legend. There is no such thing for the Aria, so if she wants 3G, then Legend it is.

I thought of selling my iphone and getting this.....

Do note that the HTC Legend on Phonemore's site is 3G 900/2100.

Thanks, ya I took note of that but given my GF isnt really that techy or doesnt really surf the web much... Dont think that will be much of a difference for her.. (she wont use the net enough to care how fast or slow it is)

Also I believe she prefers the Legend look over the Aria.

i have the legend, think it's a great phone :)
the only bad thing is the limited space for apps, but you can easily change that by downloading apps onto a microSD.

Wow she's not a techy and prefers the Legend over the Aria? How odd! :)

Has she seen the Aria in person? It's a sexy phone

girls like the unibody, just like macbook air.
I personally prefer the look of white Hero > Legend regardless the spec.

Oh btw. HTC Legend's can be had on Craigslist for less way less than that.

MelonBoy 12-03-2010 11:33 PM

hmm... Checked craigslist.. She wants a new one for sure.. err I wonder if those are reliable.. lol 300 for brand new in box.. hmmm

cdizzle 12-04-2010 01:19 PM

i bought mine off of craigslist, paid 350 for mine.
i managed to facebook the seller and it turns out we had common friend.
perhaps try that to ascertain reliability of seller?

SkinnyPupp 12-14-2010 07:51 AM

My friend just got one of these last week, and I am surprised at how crappy it is. It is REALLY slow (angry birds is extremely choppy) and sucks battery like you won't believe. The screen is nice though. His gf's $200 LG is better.

Let's hope things improve with the 2.2 update...

!MiKrofT 12-14-2010 03:43 PM

Can't help that the processor is so slow.

SkinnyPupp 12-14-2010 03:46 PM

Wow good point there.

Thing is, his gf's cheap LG has the same processor. What it doesn't have is a bloated UI.

!MiKrofT 12-15-2010 03:47 PM

Ahh. Yeah. HTC sense bogs things down a bit but I find it makes things very friendly. 2.2 will probably be faster but I don't think by much.

2.2 came out yesterday, and it's definitely smoother overall. Angry Birds is still choppy as hell though.

As good as Sense is, LauncherPro is much lighter, and has most of the same good widgets.
