The giant could have hulked it hitting people with a horse or even a person. If he grabbed someone wearing chain mail it's like bones in a bag, clubbing time lol.
#1. y u no zig zag ???
#2. You are you're own worst enemy Jon. All the Starks are too emotional and put themselves in a bad situation. Cat, Rob, Ned etc
#3. you couldnt cut down a tree for wun wun to use as a weapon? he's your best asset FFS. it killed me watching him bat away at those tiny sticks
^Absolutely incredible to see that. Making the effort for practical effects (not CGI) really makes the episode that much better.
I don't normally feel obliged to link reviews, but seeing this after had me LOLing nice and early in the morning. Brought me back to Lethal Weapon 1 last fight scene, and shit the edited was seamless haha
so as the article posted above concludes... house mormont has been supporting and protecting jon snow all this time.

also another thing i wanted to ask you all... someone posted this in the comments section in the article above:
Quote:
When you think about the Mormonts are protecting Daenerys Targaryen too, since Ser Jorah has saved her life several times. Hmmmm...
is ser jorah is acting on his own in supporting dany because of his disgraced exile from the house mormont... or is that just a cover, and he is acting on the house mormont's behalf?

To think word of his life hasn't reached back to House Mormont would be pretty unbelievable. Someone has to have talked about Jora being at Kaleesi's side so perhaps House Mormont is more in the game than we suspect?
Do you guys think we'll get an explanation for why Littlefinger and the Knights of the Vale decided to showed up? Last we left him, Littlefinger got reamed out by Sansa and Brienne in that private meeting, where Sansa said she doesn't need his help.

Quite simple actually. Littlefinger wants some Sansa. He never does anything out of charity. There's always a motive.
He was in love with Lady Cat. Sansa is said to look like a carbon copy of young Cat. He wants to tap that ass.
Lewdness aside, there seems to be a bit of ambiguity with LF and Sansa. People suggest he's taking care of her genuinely out of love for Cat. But knowing (and seeing) LF operate makes you think that he has much more selfish motives.
Personally I think he wants Sansa to be his queen/pawn/toy. There are two things he wanted in life- Cat and the power that the Iron Throne provides. Sansa is the closest thing to getting number 1. If the Starks are all to survive and "the good guys win", I suspect that Sansa will have a direct hand in LF's downfall/death.
i was thinking he needed bolton out to control the north and wanted winterfell. by staying out of the battle until the end both strong armies are eliminated and the only army of size in the north besides the vale is the frey army
he might to tap that sansa but i think he'll continue to use her presence to manipulate her cousin who "controls" the knights of the vale
My colleague was ranting on and on how unrealistic and "hollywood" about the episode. I don't blame him though 3 to 1 ratio, Sansa not letting Snow know she got LF's help coming, Wun Wun with no armor and couldn't used to throw huge shit at the enemy etc... lol pretty entertaining to hear it from his side.

I already touched base with the Sansa not letting Jon snow know about the Vale coming to help. And these guys are also wildings. Where are they going to find armor for them, let alone a massive piece for a giant.

He got reamed out by Sansa before Jon started recruiting. In episode 7, after they fail to get enough support, Sansa writes a letter. We don't see who it's to, but we can only draw our own conclusion that it was to Little Finger.
