I would absolutely love to see a prequel series starting just before Rhaegar "abducts" Lyanna. All the stuff leading up to Roberts Rebellion seems super interesting with lots of action and intrigue. Can anyone refresh my memory on how much time had passed between When Robert took the the throne and when GoT starts?
I guess the indicator would be how old Jon Snow is when the season starts. lol Just thought of that... is he 14? It's hard to picture Robert as a mighty warrior swinging a bad ass war hammer.
I wonder if they'll have Rheagar in a flashback scene next season. They'll definitely need to find a handsome mofo because he was suppose to be one of the best looking men in all of Westeros haha
Well, Lyanna was supposed to be the hottest in westeros , but the show disappointed us as well.
Then again, it's hard to top Missandei and Bae-nerys.
So I guess Jon coming back to life had no adverse effects at all? I think dying and coming back exactly the same kind of cheapens things a bit, since literally anyone who's dead could just pop back into the picture now.
but Jon needed to die or else he'll never get out of the nights watch

Yeah I understand that I just think it takes the shock value out of a major death if there's a good chance they'll be resurrected. It went from "Wow I can't believe Ned/Rob/Caitlen died!" to "Meh he'll be resurrected next season".
PS - 'Book spoilers' name was brought up a few times in the high 90s pages and it wasn't edited so I thought it was alright.
True but look at how many 'main' characters die and don't come back. I think it's fair.
I wonder if we get a WW Hodor
LSH has been referenced a lot, which is annoying enough, but at least don't mention the source of the character for people who don't want to be spoiled [if they even introduce the character in the show]

Melisandre is framing the fact that Jon is only able to come back because of the god of Light. This is how she also continues to justify burning Stannis' daughter. So if you felt that the last battle was incredulous... that Jon shouldn't have survived, then maybe it was supposed to be that way... Because he was supposed to die, again, but against all odds he survived because ... you know ... little girl was given up for sacrifice and all
