Those Lannister stuntmen being on fire for 12+ seconds all in such close proximity to each other is fucking crazy

Kind of yeah, but my thought was that the primitive swirls were there already, but he and Davos added the White Walkers themselves, which would explain why they were so much more detailed EleGiggle

question... did the gold they took from the tyrells make it to king's landing?

i'm wondering because of those horses that ran by (two white, one black) were the ones that was pulling that wagon jamie was paying bronn out of, but i thought that wagon went ahead in another convoy?

Safe, it was the first thing Randyll Tarly said to Jamie something to the effect of the gold is safely through the gates of Kings Landing.

I was expecting the dragons to blast all the gold and lannister armies lol

I would imagine a dragon could fly way quicker than a horse could run

I really liked a lot of the episode. Only complaint is that I don't like how powerful the dragon seems (I get it, it's a fantasy show, and on paper this is what I probably would have wanted to see before the show ever aired). To me, I can kind of compare the feeling of seeing the dragon do its thing to how I felt when we saw Neo flying at the end of The Matrix.

I really enjoyed the episode and think it was one of the best ones so far. I'm interested to see where the Bran and Littlefinger story goes.

m3thods 08-08-2017 06:46 AM

^ But they showed that it's not invincible (however cheaply). What were you hoping for in terms of a dragon fighting in medieval times?

Think of dragons as fighter jet or a gunship- if you have no anti-air weapons, of course they'll be OP. Bronn had 1 and still got a shot in.

i dont think he said it made it to kings landing, he just said it made it over the water they were trying to cross no?

100% sure he said it made it's way safely through the gates of kings landing.

This next part may be me trippin but didn't they send the wagon of gold first after Bron got his gold?

i thought so too. it went in a seperate convoy back to king's landing because they were going elsewhere to secure food supplies. what i wasn't sure was if the gold shipment was hijacked or wiped it out by dany before coming for jamie. they focused long and hard on those 3 horses running by

OriginalJC 08-08-2017 07:27 AM

My mistake, it wasn't Tully. It was Lord Randyll Tarly:
All the gold safely through the gates of King’s Landing.

Still needs to get to the Iron Bank. What was burned down was all the food/resources that were going to feed the armies for the war.

GLOW 08-08-2017 08:53 AM

the dragon scene had me thinking... wait a second i think i played this before in modern warfare 2 when i control the attack chopper at night :lol

So Iron Bank debt still hasn't technically been repaid? i doubt they would make anything of this, but it I thought it would be cool to see what kind of consequences there were to defaulting on the iron bank

m3thods 08-08-2017 10:14 AM

^ I think given the pacing of the show, we can probably assume that "making it safely through the gates of Kings Landing" means that the Iron Bank got the gold and whatever venture they wanted to help Cersei with is a go (i.e. the Golden Company purchase). I doubt there's time in the final 9 episodes to show the consequences of a loan default. The guy said that they'd just get the GC to collect so we can use our imaginations.

radioman 08-08-2017 11:33 AM

Would have liked a scene where the dragon maybe couldn't breathe fire anymore (maybe they have a limit and need to "refuel") and its on the ground attacking people like it was after the scorpion hit.

Don't think the dragons are too powerful but it would be nice to know their limits.

Like John mentioned she can't really use them for a castle siege because people will only be scared and nothing will have really changed with her taking over the thrown.

thumper 08-08-2017 11:42 AM

is this list still current?

https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com...c83e6f05f6.jpg

is arya still adding to it? ie. littlefinger?
