There's a stupid petition online with 143k signatures asking for season 8 to be remade with competent writers LOL https://www.change.org/p/hbo-remake-...petent-writers |
Hehe I just signed it, it's up to 380k lol |

my wife and i have been talking about this for a while -- we've noticed movie stars doing more tv (netflix included.) we figure it's steady income, and high guaranteed income at that. $3mil for 6 episodes is no joke. im sure they worked long and hard hours for it, but that's some damn good money for tv. |
642K signatures so far :lol |
I've defended the direction the writers went for the whole season to people I've come across that complained. However that finale was hot freaking garbage. Spoiler! |
Last episode definitely did not feel like a series ending. So many loose ends, unanswered questions... I feel like there's a few spin offs to be had here. Apparently GOT prequel during the age of Bran the Builder. For sure one with Arya exploring the rest of the world. Maybe one with Bran the Broken governing. Spoiler! |
holy fuck that was bad... |
Yea I also tried to see the positives in the season but that last episode..man.. |
Sir Davos is a the GOAT, what a troll... telling the dickless unsullied to go start a new civilization/lineage somewhere else hahahahaha |

The first quarter of the episode leading up to Dany's death was so well done. The tone, the camera work, the music, everything about it was just so fucking good. Dany's speech to the Unsullied and Dothraki (with Jon and Tyrion just standing off to the side with no clue what she's saying) was acted so well. The fact that Tyrion and Jon had no idea what she was saying really drove home the whole foreigner leader and her army taking over the world vibe. It's an absolute shame that the rest of the episode after that turned into some comedy with perfectly tied up happy endings for everyone. [edit] Ghost finally got his scritches, so that was a high point of the episode. |
Spoiler! |
They didn't put him up as the rightful heir because Greyworm and his powerful brooding personality scared them into sending him to the Night's Watch. |
that felt like a very odd ending for such a massive build up of war, like everything happened in very limited time frame just smashed into together. Spoiler! even when their was punishment and law happening after the death,it felt like a huge forgiveness story,i'm not sure why the writers went with it,Felt lackluster to me. in the start of the series it was always a massive power struggle with dog eat dog and now this....Hmmmm. |

Right? I was like okay Sansa is gonna say something now........... no....... okay maybe later ? |
That was pretty fucking horrible. I was waiting for it to end, but it kept going and going at a snails pace. |
Jon said many times he didn’t want it. They respected that and he got his wish. To me, this is the beginning of a democracy. No more kings crowned just because of the bloodline. Now the best person for the job wins. (That’s how a democracy was intended to work anyway BrokeBack) My wife was super pissed at how it ended as well. Maybe I just have rose coloured glasses on but I don’t mind how it all went down, myself. |

Drogon thought Dany was killed by one of the swords when she sat on the iron throne that's why it melted that bad chair. LOL |
I feel like if they had ended it with Dany’s speech to the Dothraki & Unsullied, that would have been a solid distopian ending which fit GoT well. After that, man, attention to detail and logic went completely out the window. |
if I didn't watch the rest of the season, id think this was a good final episode but since I did...all those unsullied and dothraki where the fuck did they come from! its like theyre reproducing at a phenomenal rate since being wiped out by the white walkers no one suggested the rightful heir to the throne be king eh... ewww Bran just as bland as his cereal counterpart other than that the final episode was pretty good... whatever it ended good riddance |
This one is tough. It wasn't a terrible ending, but wasn't fantastic either. So many loose ends, to be Jon Snow's ending was the most disappointing, what a bizarre build up for nothing. They really Dani's character like shit too, they didn't even give her a chance to be good. She gives one Hitler-esque speech, and bam, she's killed. No chance to reform her, much would've rather seen Jon try to change her perspective and lead together in some capacity. It just felt so rushed, and no one of consequence dies, of course. The ending felt like it was put together in a way so that no vital characters are lost. This allows for spin off shows with the characters, and also allow George RR to have more options for the ending of his book, I suppose? It's a shame they wrote this ending in order to spur off further shows, I always prefer a show like The Wire, where the series ends definitively, and there's no room for spin offs. They did that same shit with Dexter, having him live in the end to allow for further shows (although doesn't look that will happen anyways). |

Final episode turned into a stupid YouTube GoT comedy parody after Danaeryes died. It's unfortunate but they turned one of the most iconic TV shows into a joke in one season. |
