Yeah usually I hate "youtube personalities" (which is weird because I plan on having my own show) but she seems authentic.. I guess that's the key, and something I will make sure to do as well when I start :D

Awesome awesome analysis by that chick. Very nicely done.

MarkyMark 05-01-2013 06:43 PM

Yeah I enjoyed those, as someone who hasn't read the books it's cleared up a lot of stuff for me.

Ronin 05-01-2013 09:37 PM

YAY

I've always thought that when they're talking about Robert's Rebellion and other shit in the past "...dude, that sounds AMAZING! WHY ISN'T THIS BOOK ABOUT THAT?!"

And if I'm going to be told that story, it might as well be by a girl with nice boobs.

Can someone tell me why Sansa was crying at the end?

ShadowBun 05-05-2013 09:11 PM

I would assume that it was her future "husband" leaving on the boat to high garden without her????

This. She wanted to get away from Kings Landing and away from the Lannisters and marrying was her only out. She's crying also because she's to marry Tyrion instead (the dwarf Lannister).

ScizzMoney 05-05-2013 10:34 PM

Sword swallower made me laugh. Love that old woman.

Culverin 05-06-2013 01:14 AM

Wow.

While this episode barely has any content from the books, what it does is carry the same weight and foreboding the books do.
Plus, if you know what's coming, sets it up so well.

The banner on the sail of that boat sailing away looked like it was a sparrow, so I'm assuming that was little fingers boat?

She found out marrying tyrion, cersei marrying loras, and little finger leaving without taking her?

She told Little finger she would not leave with him, but that was before she knew about all the new marriage plans.

IRRC the boat was carrying Loras Tyrell (the homosexual prince) and the boat scene is to dramatize Sansa's lost chance of escaping the evil clutches of the Lanisters.

IRRC Littlefinger was still in King's Landing at the end of the episode (bickering with the eunuch).

Hondaracer 05-06-2013 05:01 PM

looks like the mocking jay sigil:

iirc Loras is still in kings landing and she was crying because she turned down little finger before and now she's stuck with Tyrion

I was a little disappointed with this episode.. NOT a single scene with Daenerys Targaryen... :rukidding:

Sorry to burst your bubble... but... based on the books, there isn't much on her after she gets the Unsullied.

Hmm...

What's worse?

Strictly speaking, based on the Fantasy realm (not in the real world).

Marrying an intelligent dwarf?

Or... marrying a known homosexual?

Tyrion is despised by the entire realm but Jaime and Shae.

ShadowBun 05-06-2013 08:53 PM

well if she doesn't love either, I guess homo is good

Marshall Placid 05-06-2013 09:26 PM

Aha... but she does not know Lord/Sir Tyrell is a homosexual.

It's implied that everyone knows about it, but doesn't speak of it. Same deal with Cersei/Jaime. You can tell from the conversation between Tywin & Lady Olenna.

Sansa is pretty clueless though. I don't think she knew, or if she did, she just blocked it from her mind

Ronin 05-06-2013 10:19 PM

It's implied that the people of importance and power know. Loris is heir to one of the richest areas of Westeros. The people that know he's gay are other people in the loop and, like that squire dude, other gays with good gaydar. I highly doubt the common people know about his homosexuality. Women everywhere love the guy. If jousting was the big sport of the time, this guy was LeBron.

The way I understood it was that the other "players" in the "Game of Thrones" know, just like they always seem to know everything.
