If you recall Ser Barristan Selmy was released from his duties as lord commander of the Kingsguard, so I assume Jaime would leave in a similar manner.
earlier when tywin told jamie to quit and go back to rule their homeland jamie said he won't break his oath again and has to maintain his honor. his father said the king can grant him some sort of honorable discharge to keep his honor intact (even though jamie still refused and was disowned and kept what is now known as oath keeper)

The only reason Jaime wanted to stay as Kingsguard is so he could be with his sister. But now that she has turned into a miserable cunt he probably doesn't mind getting away from her

I would guess jealousy. She felt he put her aside for Sansa, someone younger, more beautiful and well-mannered than her. After all, she's only a whore right?
I don't think Shae did what she did out of spite. Girl loves the guy. There must be a second play going on.

if the show follows the book, here is the reason:
Spoiler!
During Tyrion's trial, Shae betrays Tyrion by lying that he conspired with Sansa to murder King Joffrey and Lord Tywin, revealing the full and intimate details of their affair - including her pet name for him as her "Giant of Lannister"; in exchange for her testimony Cersei Lannister offered her a manse in King's Landing and a knight to wed
If anyone is interested (be warned there could be spoilers for people who haven't read the books/watched the latest episode) here's the interview with her (Shae) actress
