really? in my memory the battle of blackwater was a lot more exciting may have simply been the impression it left on me though

but i was also hoping for more magical/fantasy creatures and expected them to do a lot more than simply guide the mammoth to the gate and I was hoping to see that fight at the inner gate with the giant that got through

don't get me wrong though I still enjoyed it very much

I think anything more than what we got would require a LOTR like budget. Combining visual effects with live action is ridiculously expensive (hundreds of dollars per second, if not thousands)

Sam's story with the whore and the baby is stupid and annoying.

Not really a spoiler but if you don't want to even hear about anything regarding Sam, don't read it:

Spoiler!

Sams story in the book was much more interesting than Dany's up until the newest book. Her chapters I could barely keep my eyes open

is it me or has this season been pretty boring? I couldn't stop the first 3 seasons, this one I find myself often times not even finishing an episode..

Tegra_Devil 06-09-2014 07:51 AM

i dont know how their gonna have time to finish the book in the one last episode....its gonna be such a busy episode with cliffhangers all over the place

Don't think they are. There have been a few scenes in this season taken out of later books so I think they'll just try and leave it on one bit and leave the rest for next season.

Probably boring because it focussed on the build up for the war in the North which i felt was pretty slow up until now.

Does anyone remember where the youngest stark kid went? That wild ling girl took him right, anyone know where to?

DanHibiki 06-09-2014 03:18 PM

Wonder what Jon and ygritte would have done at that moment had the kid not shot her. Gonna miss their relationship.

Loved this ep. The wall story hardly gets any love.

Sad to see those supporting characters die. I really liked that little group they had.

I would love to see the nights watch with all the bad ass veterans still around. Mormont, Halfhand, the guy who saves arya from kings landing, the ranger leader from the first scene of he first episode...he seemed badass too.

I didn't think this episode was that great, but it was nice that they focused on the wall for once.

The fat guy needs to get laid already..

They're taking him to that tree he saw in the vision

I think you're getting Bran and Rickon mixed up.

Rickon and Osha went with Shaggydog to hide off somewhere to be safe I believe.

Ch28 06-09-2014 05:28 PM

Osha took Rickon away to hide somewhere safe, because if Bran dies then Rickon is the last Stark male left

PeanutButter 06-09-2014 05:35 PM

Yeah, I was referring to Rickon. Ahh, okay. Well hopefully he stays alive.. Geese.

Btw, I don't see how the wildlings can take the wall now? Ygrittes team is all dead aren't they? That means there are no more wildlings left south of the wall, so they can only attack from North of the wall right?

Seems like it will be easy to defend, provided they don't get through that bottom gate.

radioman 06-09-2014 05:45 PM

I think that they realised it's difficult to attack the gate directly but they only need to climb the wall a few miles east or west and I think it would be much easier to get passed.

No need to attack castle black direct.

SkinnyPupp 06-09-2014 05:46 PM

Oh yeah... Rickon is so irrelevant in the story that I completely forgot he existed. Maybe suddenly he'll suddenly come back and become really important, we'll have to wait and see.

the tweeker giant is 7 feet 7 inches tall in real life

The wildlings have the numbers. They just need need to attack the gate over and over again and eventually it'll break. They have many giants and mammoths still.

The nights watch will eventually run out of oil barrels and stuff too.

ShadowBun 06-09-2014 08:12 PM

Should've collapse the tunnel now.

the corridor is narrow, their numbers will count for nothing.
