I'm sad Grenn died. He joined the watch at the same time as snow and was a complete noob. It's nice to see him rise to the warrior/leader he became. But that means that the nights watch was REALLLY short of veterans daamn.

If it's a book spoiler, label it a book spoiler.
If it's a show spoiler, label is a show spoiler. Or don't spoiler it, because if it's on the show it's not really a spoiler.
Please! That spoiler tegra posted with no warning is a MAJOR BOMB DROPPING SPOILER and yo do NOT want to read it, trust me. Meanwhile other meaningless show spoilers are mixed in (which don't even need spoiler tags btw), and it just causes confusion.
If a spoiler like that goes unlabeled, you risk being banned from the thread for a while. Please just take care
I have not read the books...I read Tegra's book spoiler...and then read a wiki page about it....HOLY SHIT. Man that really would have been a badass way to end the season. Will totally have less impact in a mid-season episode.
I don't know how it is in the books, but the show producers did a poor job with the Arya/Hound storyline. They haven't reinforced the proper motivations for her to leave the Hound behind. Up until now, they've been growing the relationship between them, and it feels like a 180 for her to just up and leave him, especially after a scene where the Hound is stepping up to protect her.
Also, the Tyrion/Shae storyline. Is it like that in the books? When Tyrion forced Shae away for her own safety, it was incredibly obvious that he was doing it because he cared for her. To have her hate him for it is just stupid, as no one would be dumb enough to not see the truth.
I will say they did wait until the last episode to drop the big plot hammer. They had quite a lot of filler in the midseason that probably could have been more interesting if they spread some of the things that happened in this episode to earlier episodes.
