He seems like he's got time to watch all the nerdy shows.
Decent breakdowns.
Good QA if you don't read the books.
His bonus videos are ok too. Show related, but not directly related to the plot. So if you don't read. Or you aren't a super nerd with the TV shows and the comics, then that'll fill you in.
so what do the fans of the book think of all the changes? i've been reading the got wiki for spoilers and im like 'wth none of this happened'
Some changes have worked out well. Replacing a huge group of new characters with Mormont with Tyrion has made that line much tighter. Also Arya's story was extremely slow in the book, and is moving at a nice pace in the show. Still waiting to see what they do with Tarly.. somehow it feels like they aren't going to do his plot at all this season - It should be taking place by now.
The new Jaime Lannister storyline is awful though. In the book we see him become his own man as he moves away from Cersei... I'll just leave it at that to avoid spoilers. He was probably my favourite character in the books (after Tyrion of course!), but in the show he's just a goofball. Also the Dorne fight scene last night was HORRIBLE.
I'm not sure what they're doing with Brienne but it seems like they're going to do something very different from the books, based on the foreshadowing so far.
I love Jaime Lannister and the Dorne storyline in the books, but the show is ruining it pretty badly for me. Way more character development for Jaime in the books and a much better storyline. Ramsay's scene wasn't nearly as bad as the book scene though. Book made me sob a little. Also, I liked the Sand Snakes in the books; show sand snakes are repetitive, dull, and really make no sense to me.
I hate to say it, but I don't like this show very much anymore with the way they're deviating from the books. I can understand cutting out certain characters and storylines but I think they're overdoing it.
there was really no way but to overdo it. People would lose more interest if they had stuck to the books than deviated like this. There were just way to many characters

Game of Thrones makes me realize how evil I would be. If someone did that to my hot ass queen I would have the kingsguard kill them all including the new over righteous news guy from Tomorrow Never Dies Pope.
Like...okay, you guys are just too much trouble. Fuck it...you all get to die now.
Sansa doesn't marry Ramsay in the book. This is new. She's still with Littlefinger last I read.
Yup, she's still at the Eyrie with Baelish.
For those interested, in the books it's not Sansa that marries Reese; rather, it's Jeyne Poole (who did play a small part previously in the show and, I believe, was the one shown to be attacked by dogs at the intro of one of the episodes?) who is dressed up and pretending to be Arya Stark.
I wasn't particularly interested in the Sand Snakes subplot in the books, though I did enjoy The Guard's POV chapters. However, even the show is making the plot line even more dreary and generic. I'm sure it plays a large role at some point but I just can't be bothered to care about the Sand Snakes and Oberyn's widow.
Whats going on with Bran and the youngest stark? Nothing in all of Season 5

Show storyline vs books.
Arya, show for pace. Book for adventure.
Brienne, SHOW
Jaime, books
Cersi, Book thus far, TBD if gets better.
Margaery, show
Areo, book
Sand snakes, BOOK
Bron, show
Stannis, book (but the show actor is fantastic)
Melisandre, show. Marginally. Actor seems good, I think the screen time is holding her back. SPOILER REMOVED
Sam, BOOK. I think he's getting screwed over this season.
