DAMMIT STANNIS WTF! Also, the actress who played Shireen did a fantastic job. Those screams were absolutely gutwrenching and painful to hear. I wonder how Davos is going to react to this. |
That was a solid episode. |
|
Solid episode but nowhere near as good as the other episode 9s from previous seasons. Last weeks episode was better than this weeks imo I love how she got saved by Drogon and then peaced it out of there leaving her friends behind |
What's with the fucking spoiler tags in this thread? I purposely avoided this thread until after I watched it. When seeing the Entertainment forum preview show this thread as the latest thread, it killed me knowing I have to wait. Then coming here to discuss it, it's all spoiler tags? WTF!? Leave that shit for the book spoilers. I don't know if you guys are discussing the show or the books or whatnot. Stop with the spoiler tags if it's about the show and lets have a god damn discussion. |
Yeah don't tag show spoilers, it just confuses people FailFish I'll go remove all the non book spoilers As for the episode, I think it's well beyond a "solid episode" and for me was one of the best in the entire series. |
I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought the ending was cheesy. Solid episode otherwise. That poor, poor girl.... |
Ending was super cheesy, but hey it's a fantasy series about dragons and wizards and knights... Not everything can be about burning and molesting children |
i was hoping when she was at the stake that she wouldn't burn in the flames like kaelisi as a plot twist... also was expecting a ring of fire and for the dragon not to land and just lay waste like the choppa mission in CoD modern warfare :lol lands and gets speared FailFish |
fucken LOL when she just leaves on her dragon ditching her squad |
Can hit Dragon at will with spears like it ain't no thing but nobody even thinks about tossing a spear at Kalisi? |
For those wondering the difference in the books, the Sons of Harpy were not attacking her in the fighting pits, though they did attempt to poison her (one of the best side characters in the book, who doesn't exist in the show, ate it instead). The dragon came back and everyone started attacking it. Daenerys jumped on it and they fled. Not a huge deal, but it makes a lot more sense than ditching the people who were defending you... Also Stannis never burned his daughter (and the character seems like he never would, though they kind of hint that he may have to at some point). |
is the show trying to make us hate stannis? what he did was pretty fucked up, to a point where i would want the bolton's to kick his ass |
GRR Martin and show producers be like "what's that? you're starting to warm up to Stannis?" :ilied: |
Question: where are the sons of the harpies getting those masks? |
still want stannis to steamroll the boltens :accepted: |
Quote:
But they might be like masks that were previously used in like an annual celebratory parade? In the GoT world, mascots and sigils are a big thing. And the Harpy is the avatar of for Mereen right? So I'm thinking. Something along the lines of like a festival mask? Like the Mexican holiday day of the dead masks? |
|
|
^I was thinking the exact same thing. |
damn theme song was going through my head when i saw her flying :lol |
K wait, where is she going? Or is she actually just saving her own ass? |
Too old |

except this is GoT so i might be disappoint... |
so is denaerys also infected with the scale disease since she took jorah's hand when they were escaping? (and her assistant subsequently took her hand after) |
