If that's representative of what Stark fighters wear in battle, I wonder why they just rely on leather and chainmail? They don't seem like the types to use agility and speed like the Dornish seem to exhude (or maybe that was just Oberyn).
On that topic, the show does a really good job at making full-armoured knights very nimble. I can't remember what show it was, but there were 2 dudes dressed to the brim with medieval armour and longswords, and it was painful to watch them go at it lol.

i think if Stannis was really dead, they would've showed it. The show has never shy'd away from showing deaths of characters.
That's the only reason I think he's alive. I could be wrong but hasn't every major characters death been shown except for Stanis. Man that guy did some effed up shit like offing his daughter but I still digged him.
