anyone else not feeling this season? its like im outta the mood for GoT
I agree, something feels disconnected. Don't know what it is, I am syked to watch a new episode, but while watching it does not have the same feel. Maybe because they have to many stories going on at once, and they are moving fairly slowly instead of coming out with a bang to get going.
Roose not wearing any armor when you know your wife is going to give birth to a potential new heir above Ramsey? Come on dude.
Not surprised that the Karstarks are backing the Boltons, since Robb lugged off his dad's head . Will be interesting to see if the Umbers and Manderly's follow the book
The ending was incredibly predictable. Friend said the ending was awesome, but I thought it was lame. I loved the flashback scene with Lyanna, Benjen, Ned, and Willis!!
Maybe I need to rewatch last season. But how did the High sparrow and the funky bunch get so much power? And where were they when Robert and Joffrey were kings? Or are they there because Tywin is dead and the Lannisters are weak now?
(Sorry if I missed something obvious, Don't really want to Bing it incase I come across major spoilers)

After Tywin was murdered by Tyrion, and the High Septon was imprisoned, Cersei convinced the others to elect the High Sparrow as the High Septon. She also signed a decree allowing the Faith Militant (the Sparrow's fighters we always see defending him) to bear arms and dispense justice that has to do with religion.
Yet another example of Cersei not thinking ahead of potential consequences of her actions.
Peter Dinklage doesn't seem to be getting as many epic speeches or monologues as of late, but I still fucking love the guy.
And I'm so looking forward to the Tower of Joy. Should help fill in a bunch of back story that, even in the books, hasn't been mentioned. Most importantly, however... does the R+L=J theory hold up after this?

It's got to at this point no? Why even spend time on the TOJ flashback and introducing Lyanna as something other than RB's infatuation back from S1. I suppose most show-only viewers are kept in the dark regarding the theory, but for those of us aware of it the show's direction seems to be advertising it like a big neon sign.
That said, I'm mostly dying to know how Howland and Ned came back alive/seeing Dawn in action, and what the actual "promise" was.
honestly thought they were gonna burn jon snow and his bloodline limit was gonna kick in with the help of misalandre chanting to the god of light as he burns he ressurects out of the fire. Just like how daenerys is immune to fire. Would have been more epic. Then have the flash back of lynnia.

I think it's just this one episode... they had to kill off some important people to get the storyline flowing again, and they did it fairly quickly

Never understood why Tommen can't just sign a decree disbanding the Faith Militant... he's the fucking King, sign a decree banning the Faith Militant then storm the High Sparrow's HQ with your kings guard

Good question. I'm guessing from the speech the High Sparrow gave to Jamie that the Faith Militant are a much larger group than we believe, large enough to threaten the Kings Guard, Lannister soldiers, and City Watch. He mentioned how they all thought they were poor and worth nothing, but formed together they became powerful.
