I know I'm being anal, but It bothers me because it is inconsistent with the book. Secondly, it would have been more believable for me if her hair was burnt off. For all we know, she could have just stripped down and rolled around in the ashes.

Hondaracer 06-25-2011 09:22 AM

if her skin cant burn why would her hair burn? i havent read the first book but as a dragon you would think she is completely resistant

She has high resistance to heat...not complete resistance.

SkinnyPupp 06-25-2011 06:43 PM

Man the way the author describes food in this book is extremely creepy... like disturbingly creepy...

Ronin 07-11-2011 01:31 AM

No idea if I can hotlink this. It's resized...click for a bigger one.

Just a reminder, the next book comes out tomorrow for those who have read the whole series.

Yup, yup. Got my book held under my name @ Book Warehouse.

TheNewGirl 07-11-2011 12:25 PM

I'm just hoping it comes out on Kobo right away. I prefer my ebook reader.

Hondaracer 07-11-2011 12:36 PM

What a great show. I wouldn't even have known about this series if it wasn't for this thread.

THANKS

zOmGgGGgGGg

The last stretch of A Clash of Kings is so captivating I can't take the suspense. Almost finished...just about 100 pgs to go.

The entire book itself has been a great read but....HrRrrnrNnngngggg.... :sweetjesus:

Ronin 07-14-2011 01:47 PM

I'm at about chapter 60 of Clash of Kings

Ronin 07-20-2011 02:05 AM

Almost finished A Clash of Kings.

SHIT JUST GOT REALER

KingDeeCee 07-20-2011 10:12 AM

Should I read Game of Thrones before Clash of Kings even if I watched Game of Thrones?
Posted via RS Mobile

Ronin 07-20-2011 10:26 AM

No. The show is mostly accurate. They spared a few details and tone but the story is all intact.

Matlock 07-20-2011 12:25 PM

I would recommend reading The Game of Thrones just to attain a greater understanding of the story.

The book contains many "deleted scenes" :)

Also, if you skip the book you miss out on some characters which might be of significance in the future. (Jeyne Poole!!!)

Almost finished reading a Dance With Dragons. This book = crazy

SkinnyPupp 07-20-2011 08:23 PM

I am almost through the first book. It is taking soooooooo long!!! I wish I could read faster

It is mostly the same as the show from what I can tell. A few very minor details were changed.

Gets even better in A Storm of Swords...

Can't...stop...reading.

I really have to start pacing myself 'coz at this pace, I'll get to the latest book in no time...and that means even more waiting.

Lomac 07-20-2011 09:06 PM

I'm about half way through A Dance With Dragons and I have to admit that there have been some plot twists in this book that I didn't even see coming. Should make things quite interesting!

TheNewGirl 07-20-2011 09:24 PM

I just finished Dance With Dragons (at 3 am this morning actually) and I think it may be my favorite in the series.

GRRM sure as hell better get to writing the next one FAST. I can't wait 10 years to find out what happens to some characters now!
