Provincial Inspection in or around Maple Ridge

Hey guys,

so my car has just arrived from England UK - I'm keen to get it registered here in BC with as least fuss as possible. Its older than 15yrs (its 26 actually!) so its "just" the Provincial inspection that I need.

I've read many different stories about the Provincial Inspection that its untrue! Some say if it drives and stops it'll pass, others say if its not in STOCK condition and perfect it'll never get through.

It very much seems like its Where you go and Who you speak too? Would I be right with that?

This car certainly isn't perfect or stock - but its mechanical upkeep is good... Suspension looked after, Brakes uprated and work well etc

I'm in Maple Ridge and I'm thinking if it does fail its better to have a closer inspection but am willing to travel for the "right" test centre.

Any info greatly appreciated!

Dan

If you're willing to drive it out to Burnaby, which isn't that far... go to Advanced Autoworks (604-298-4489 - 1711 Ingleton Ave, Burnaby, BC).
Know the owner of that place, they should get it done for you NP, even if it isn't stock... probably just call first and ask though too make sure.

just an update to say I used Advanced Autoworks in the end - it was a bit of a drive but they seemed to be decent enough guys.

They did fail me first off but on lower ball joints that when I checked when I got home we're on their way out. I ordered the parts and got it back to them within a week and they retested it for free.

Least it sorted!
