13th - 9/10

amazing documentary on mass incarceration, especially on blacks, and how the political system over the past 40 years has weakened black society thru thinly veiled racist policies

very moving and well put together

Ultimate Beastmaster

It's an obstacle course show where competitors representing one of 6 countries competes to win the challenge. Each country has their own announcers calling the show in their own language (with English subs for us). It got my interest because Terry Crews is one of the announcers for the US team. However, those Korean announcers are the real stars of the show.

i enjoyed the show.
i dont like how on the face plant course when they changed the chain to the rope and just rekt everyone.
Kinda thought it was unfair that it was co-ed. was really difficult for females to compete with men.

Watched the first episode of Into the Badlands...seems like it's trying really hard. Cool to see Daniel Wu though, had no idea his english was THAT good lol

not sure if it's worth watching more of though. does it get better??

gilly 03-10-2017 02:21 PM

Santa clarita diet
Starring Drew Barrymore.

Omg this show is freaken amazing. About her turning into a zombie but trying to live a normal family life. It's quite funny and entertaining. Must watch guys. Binged entire season in one day.

iwantaskyline 03-10-2017 02:35 PM

^spoiler that shit

gilly 03-10-2017 02:46 PM

I am not spoiling anything... the entire show is about that.

Iron Fist I think it's the weakest Marvel Netflix series... it's almost like the writers didn't really know how to make things happen and they just decided Okay now all of a sudden he likes her, they're bad, oh they disappeared from work for a few days (omg we totally forgot about this character let's just pop them back in), tried not to ruin anything with that but hopefully u get he point

HonestTea 03-18-2017 04:20 PM

I'm probably gonna stop after episode 3. Not feeling the characters in Iron Fist.

The Infiltrator 7/10
-Interesting movie about undercover cop (Bryan Cranston) infiltrating the money laundering network during Pablo Escobar's drug regime

Anthropoid 8/10
-Movie about Czech spies trying to assassinate a ruthless nazi SS officer. (both movies are based on real events)

weakest of Marvel Netflix yup
super super slow build up and the dialogue is horrible
however, once it does pick up, then its alright.

so yea... wasn't great, but wasnt as trash as the reviews wrote it to be

way2quik 03-21-2017 10:11 AM

Love, Season 2: 9/10.

Definitely a step up than the first season. Unlike other storylines, relationship issues were straight to the point by not dragging the issue. The ending was disappointing, but well written. Looking forward to season 3.

Watched Season 2 Episode 1 last night. Wanted to watch Ep. 2 but there weren't anymore. I thought Netflix releases entire seasons at once when they come out?

Armind 03-21-2017 01:40 PM

Worth watching?

Probably cause they have a partnership with BBC2. Nobody's going to watch that channel if the whole thing's on Netflix already.

agreed, it's ok. if you consider the context in which the comics were written it's not too bad. the whole premise is so corny and ridiculous, but you have certain characters/aspects of the show that ground it a bit. hopefully it ends better than luke cage. if you're talking trash, diamondback as the main villain was ultimate trash.

Watched the first one. As someone who was pretty hyped for it, the first special was just ok.

I'll catch the second one soon but I'll lower my expectations accordingly.
