Finished Season 1 of Santa Clarita.... good late night brainless comedy. (Pun intended)

Drugs Inc and Border Wars are on Netflix now too, if anybodys into those kind of shows.

Death Note Teaser Trailer #1 (2017)

6o4__boi 03-22-2017 11:11 AM

great

a fucking white version of a great anime/japanese live action that no one asked for

Nothing wrong with it. I liked the anime but season 1 only. The story is good and can take place in virtually any city, doesn't have to be in Japan. I'd argue L is more believable as a character in America.

doesn't add anything to the current series
just a basic retelling of the original in a different setting
with most likely shittier versions of the characters

this has a db evolution stench attached to it

if you're gonna retell a pretty damn good franchise, at least make it original

DragonChi 03-22-2017 11:48 AM

Death Note was good, up until...

Spoiler!

It's not meant to add anything to the current series. Its mainly for an audience who has probably never heard of Death Note.

And it was great. Talked about the state of Surrey currently and dove into the DTES. I'd say their take on it was fairly accurate.

Finished the first season of Get Down. It's actually really good, I only wish the music scenes were more era-appropriate. The soundtrack itself is great, but when the characters rap it's so bad

Season 2 arrives in 2 weeks, looking forward to it

Dave Chappelle specials 10/10 - He was in fine form. He's one of my all time favorite comedians so I'm a bit biased. How he segway'd into Bill Cosby during the L.A. show was off the hook. I was dying. I had to rewind it a couple times. Both shows were great. I hope he does more.

Didn't think it was as interesting but as season 1 but still a good season.

Just caught up to The 100.

What an amazing show.

m3thods 04-05-2017 06:43 AM

Been binging Shameless (US). Up to Season 3. Aside from wanting to punch my tv from time to time, it's a great show. Good mix of comedy and drama and there are some good side characters on the show.

Armind 04-05-2017 08:37 AM

Forced to watch 13 Reasons Why...

so far it's decent 7/10

Looking forward to Kevin Hart: What now soon

white rocket 04-05-2017 11:25 AM

Louis C.K 2017 - 10/10 of course. Dude is golden. Slight disappointment that his set was the same as the one he did here in December at Thunderbird Arena. But cool that I saw him live then got to hear the jokes again, as they were gut bustingly funny.

ScizzMoney 04-05-2017 04:23 PM

^ I might have to give it another watch. I wasn't really feeling it this time.

it has its ups and downs. Sometimes it's like wtffff to the max and how they get through some of the X rated shit is beyond me. It's so wtf of a house hold it's really weird. Season 7 is a long running but I'm so glad it's not on a PG-13 station.

each character has its set of issues, drugs, alcohol, stealing, sex, car jacking, epic smart kid, gifted kid, anal, fuck.. the lists goes on.

I know it's not Netflix, but Amazon released a bunch of pilots for potential series on their Amazon Prime Video outlet.

Amazon Pilot Reviews: All the 2017 Entries, Ranked Worst to Best | IndieWire

I've only watched Oasis so far (Richard Madden from GoT) but I liked it quite a bit. It's very Sci-Fi with the whole trying to colonize another planet in the future bit. There's also something sinister that is happening with all the civilians that are trying to colonize the place.

Can't wait until next month when Master of None season 2 drops. I hope we get to see more of his parents on the show. They're his actual real life parents playing his on screen parents and their chemistry is just hilarious.
