Daredevil S3 - 5/10
Same corny punching by DD, Karen and Foggy still can't act and are annoying.

OriginalJC 10-31-2018 09:10 AM

I thought Daredevil S3 was good, I thoroughly enjoyed it.
I thought the new characters they brought in, and focused on for character development was the key.

GS8 11-07-2018 09:36 PM

Just finished watching Bojack Horseman season 5.

I want to enjoy it but mang, the plot development is as exciting as a sloth eating molasses (Sorry Darcy). Now they announced season 6. It's getting lazy at this point. Other than Bojack's story arc (he should be a sloth. Sorry Gary nothing wrong with sloths, you just suck at Uber driving), nothing else pops out at me which sucks because animation allows free reign of ideas which this show had but is getting pretty stale now. It's turning into a Nojack.

I used Bojack humour to write this :derp:

6/10

Loving Bodyguard so far, anyone else?

Ch28 11-08-2018 12:39 PM

Been watching "Line of Duty" and it's pretty good. It's a British police drama that talks about an anti-corruption unit that goes through to root out all the corruption in the British police force.

binge watched both, so good.

Netflix released Outlaw King which I thought was a pretty entertaining 2 hours of medieval fun. It's based on Scotland's King Robert the Bruce and basically takes place after Braveheart and there's bits and pieces of William Wallace that's shown/mentioned.

Ferra 11-10-2018 09:29 AM

just finished Haunting of Hill House and it was great.
Probably one of the best horror flix i've watched.

and House of Card S6 is a complete wreck....it is a shame the show that started off so good has to end on such low.

Last Kingdom season 3 came out a few days ago and it's another good show for fans of medieval things.

Binged it over 2 days

Me too! Except I read the spoilers online and ruined the story... I’m terrible at resisting spoilers. :(

NETFLIX PRICE INCREASE

https://www.cbc.ca/news/entertainmen...hike-1.4925299

Netflix's standard plan will now cost $3 more — or $13.99 a month — to watch content on two screens at a time.

Premium plan subscribers pay $3 more — or $16.99 a month — for up to four simultaneous streams and ultra HD video.

MarkyMark 11-29-2018 09:34 AM

Of course, just got a 4k TV and upgraded to the Premium plan last month lol.

68style 11-29-2018 10:46 AM

Once they get control and wipe out enough competitors... in come the price increases year after year :)

sonick 11-29-2018 11:36 AM

Tempted to see if I can live without Netflix and cancel... $14/mo getting steep.

Nlkko 11-29-2018 01:11 PM

Lol it is 14 a month. I'll pay more for quality contents.

If anything there will be more and more competitors, with Disney's expected launch and who knows how many more.

What sucks is that the price goes up internationally, even though some countries have much less to watch. When I was in Japan I couldn't believe how much more they had than HK. And I hear Canada is pretty bad too

DragonChi 11-29-2018 03:10 PM

Yeah, Canadian content is pretty bad. It's due to distribution licensing from what I hear. That's why there is such a big drive to produce their own content.

Amazon, Hulu, Disney+, are all pretty big competitors. The Grand Tour, Handmaids Tale, The Mandalorian, Lord of the Rings shows are all big hits, or expected to be.

I'll probably stick with Netflix for one more year, and there isn't really new content that I like on there, I'll probably jump ship. I've reviewed my account and what I've watched over the year. It's been worth it, but I don't know if that trend will continue, especially if they keep hiking up prices. I find 80% of their original series boring.

That's the thing, most of their original content is pretty shit, and I only really watch two or three original series from them.

$14 is probably enough for basic cable or Telus pik tv

The streaming service has canceled “Daredevil” after three seasons, Variety has learned. The superhero action-drama debuted its third season in October.

It’s the latest casualty in Netflix’s Defenders universe. The move to cancel the drama, produced by Marvel Television and ABC Studios, comes on the heels of Netflix pulling the plug on “Luke Cage,” and “Iron Fist,” related Marvel shows set in the same narrative world as “Daredevil.”

“Marvel’s Daredevil will not return for a fourth season on Netflix. We are tremendously proud of the show’s last and final season and although it’s painful for the fans, we feel it best to close this chapter on a high note,” a Netflix spokesperson said in a statement. “We’re thankful to showrunner Erik Oleson, the show’s writers, stellar crew and incredible cast including Charlie Cox as Daredevil himself, and we’re grateful to the fans who have supported the show over the years. While the series on Netflix has ended, the three existing seasons will remain on the service for years to come, while the Daredevil character will live on in future projects for Marvel.”

Netflix now has only two remaining live-action Marvel shows from the Defenders family — “Jessica Jones” and “The Punisher.” The cancellations have come as Disney preps its own streaming service, and has begun to pull back rights to film and television projects licensed to Netflix.
