I think they're cutting off anything to do with Marvel/Disney/Star Wars

Disney says it plans to cut Netflix off starting with the studio’s 2019 films, and Netflix says it’ll be able to keep all the Disney movies it gets through the end of that year. That means Netflix should be able to stream the next two Star Wars movies, but it’ll miss out on the new trilogy’s final installment. “We continue to do business with the Walt Disney Company on many fronts, including our ongoing deal with Marvel TV,” said a spokesperson for Netflix.

Yah I don't subscribe myself, but people are constantly trying to find ways to access the USA and Netflix is constantly shutting that down.

I didn't mean competitors ie: other streaming services... I meant regular cable TV... slowly people will stop watching bloated content full of commercials OR those channels will also go digital streaming on their own and then we're stuck in an era where you have to be subscribed to like 20 different streaming services every month paying 3-4x as much as you do now? LOL... I mean it already happens... you need Netflix to see Narcos or whatever you like... you'll need Disney to see their future content... you'll need Prime to see Grand Tour and a few others... that's already like $39+ a month right there. Can't wait (sacrasm) for them to start adding different "levels" of service too like Elite members get access to bonus content or alternate endings for example.

P.S. I hope the next season of Punisher is in he works/able to come out on Netflix... I cannot imagine how much Disney would neuter that show.

Jessica Jones s3 and Punisher will be the last of the Marvel/netflix partnership

Disney or in this case, Marvel and ABC studios are still the crew creating the shows and Netflix distributes them exclusively.

Inside the Real Narcos was a pretty entertaining documentary where the guy actually meets with the gangsters and mafia down there to talk about how they made it big in the criminal underworld. A pretty fantastic watch if you're into that sort of thing.

At one point, they went to a crime scene where the cartel murdered someone and left their body in the middle of the road to leave a message. They showed the torso with all the limbs and head chopped off. The forensic guys laid out all 4 arms and legs and head for photos and it wasn't censored. Pretty gruesome stuff

I'm probably late to the party already. But I've been talking to my wife about cutting cable all together. Our family spends more hours on YouTube and Netflix than regular TV aside from some cartoons and what not that we PVR for the kids. If you break it down, it's cheaper for me to just buy what we do watch. It's also instant and in the cloud, I'm not restricted by the storage size of my PVR and can stream it on any device free of fucking toy commercials.

Only thing I do that really requires cable is maybe real time sports with good quality. Illegal streams can be found easily, but I don't want to watch the playoffs and have it cut off at critical moments. That's likely the one month out of a calendar year I'll actually pay for cable.

We are a cable free house. Netflix only. I have kids so the Disney thing is a problem. I won't want to have to subscribe to both. Guess we will see how it goes.

Watched Infinity War last night. Was not disappointed!! Pretty dark overall but lots of good comedy as well.

Berz out.

Black Mirror: Bandersnatch

Great concept, and decently executed. It's a Choose-Your-Own-Adventure that's meta, and becomes more meta.

Just let it play. Consider it the director's cut.

My wife got impatient and picked a choice near the end, and fucked up the cut. I raged-quit and took a nap.

Bandersnatch was pretty cool. Like the old choose your own adventure books, don't expect much depth here. But it was a neat, modern experience.

Wife didn't really pick up the meta stuff at all at first, so that was a bit frustrating

Had a lot of fun playing/watching this. Then i invited a friend over and they found even more scenes that I didn't come across yet.

Yea same for me, 2015 XBR model, it’s annoying because obviously the TV gets the Netflix app updates but not enough to enable the features needed :/

I enjoyed Bandersnatch. But then they took Bob's Burgers off Netflix and I rage-quit and unsubscribed. I figured I can watch more YouTube and TED Talks and Red Bull TV and it's been working so far for me. If it comes to it, I can always resubscribe to Netflix.

Birdwatch 8/10. Gf really liked it. she loved the little kids.

I went in thinking it would be bad and thought it was just a copy of the Quiet Place but it was actually pretty good.. quite suspenseful. The movie felt a little too long though. I would recommend.

Bandersnatch was good. Worked on my TV. Played around with purposely choosing wrong paths a bit but you could definitely end up spending a lot of time on it. There were a coupler times of you picked the same wrong path it was a different story each time and one time was super funny. Not sure if I like the idea out of fear of missing something. I'm sure I missed some of the big Easter eggs I've already read about

Bird Box was a solid 6 for me. Maybe overhyped, but the backlash I've been seeing on reddit and stuff has been hilarious. People are trying so hard to make a point that they don't like it. (not saying you fall into this category.. you just shared an opinion, the people on reddit were going apeshit about it every chance they get)

I thought it was a cool suspenseful movie with a neat premise, and was nice to look at in 4K HDR. What more do you want from a dumb thriller?

The beauty of Bird Box was I didn't watch it after a movie trailer. The Netflix intro gave up just enough that it still remained suspenseful and this leaves the audience to figure out the story much like the characters. Anything more and I think the experience would've been ruined.

The movie's a solid 7. It felt like a small budget film done well. But it's not something I'd rewatch.
