Tiger King started out hilarious and addicting... and then suddenly it got REAL dark and sad and depressing... just yuck... like sad for humanity type of sad. There's not a single good person on that show minus maybe the GM guy who lost his legs (in an accident, not with tigers) he's the only that seemed like a somewhat decent human. And that's really being generous.

SkinnyPupp 04-13-2020 04:32 PM

Tiger King is absolute pure trash TV, and I am surprised people admit that they liked it. Not that there's anything wrong with liking it, but it's embarrassingly bad LUL Still entertaining though, in a trainwreck sort of way. You can tell that the editors really twisted a lot to tell the story they wanted. The real story is probably a lot more boring. I consider shows like this like a "based on a true story" movie.

I thought they portrayed the staff in the best light possible... The guy with the long hair and the guy who got his arm ripped off were also OK. Just kind of weird hillbillies doing their thing.

They did a followup as "episode 8" if you want to check it out. Nothing mind blowing, but some new tidbits, like I didn't realize Travis wasn't a suicide, he was just fucking around with the gun.

Started watching Gomorrah on Netflix, and wow it's so good. On Season 2 right now and would definitely recommend it.

Thanks for the recommendation, this show was excellent. Looks great in HDR as well.

Same here, excellent show.

Seems like it has quite the budget too, why the hell is it on Amazon Prime?

I never watched Breaking Bad figured might as well check it out as I knew it something I'd probably enjoy.

Started watching on Wednesday almost through season 4, great show and good writing. I'm probably the only person who hasn't see it.

"The Last Dance" on ESPN starts tonight. 10 Episodes there airing two a week.

Breaking bad is one of the few shows that keeps your attention episode to episode even when binge watching because the writing is that good

Imo binge watching can drastically change the way a series feels and make it feel drawn out of repetitive in a hurry. I really found this with the Sopranos. I’ve Probably seen every episode before but we started to watch it from the beggning again. Jesus by season 5 or so every episode felt the same and we stopped watching.

Same went for Sons of Anarchy, it’s like, oh guns and drugs AGAIN? But against a new gang this time? No thanks

Watch Better Call Saul after you finish BB. It’s arguably better if not just as good as BB. Absolutely amazing acting from everyone on BCS.

Slifer 04-19-2020 01:58 PM

^Dude are you serious? BCS is trash compared to BB.

SkinnyPupp 04-19-2020 03:01 PM

Latest season of Saul is way better than Breaking Bad... If you went back and watched it again, I think it would be more obvious.

Dead serious. I'd put it on par with BB and not just a money-grab spinoff that people were making it out to be when they announced BCS.

CivicBlues 04-20-2020 07:04 AM

Yup, IMO BCS exceeded Breaking Bad last season. It pulled way ahead after this current season.

Finished Breaking Bad really enjoyed it.

Starting watching Better Call Saul end of last week finished up to Season 4 this morning now onto Season 5 I'll be caught up by tomorrow. I kind of listen/half watch well I'm working on one of my monitors.

Better Call Saul took me a few season to really start enjoying it but I'm liking it now. If I had to pick I would pick Breaking Bad but BCS is worth watching IMO.

Been watching The Last Dance about Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls

hchang 04-29-2020 09:12 AM

Anybody on Peaky Blinders?

Buddy recommended it but gf and I find it pretty slow so far

Not sure if we should continue

rsx 05-03-2020 04:58 PM

Gangs of London (so far) 8/10

Great story so far, amazing action scenes and gore (if you think DareDevil fight scenes are repetitive and stupid, you'd like their take on fighting).

TouringTeg 05-03-2020 09:02 PM

I got tired of watching Peaky Blunders after a few seasons.

Into the Night is great if you like end of the world movies like 2012 / Day after Tomorrow. Subtitles.

Deadpool 2 Cus why not.

punkwax 05-04-2020 07:26 AM

I watch a lot of food network and Cooked with Cannabis caught my eye on Netflix.

The first episode wasn’t great (aside from the celebrity judges getting silly) because they had typical stoner chefs. Each episode since has had chefs who take a more scientific approach to cooking with cannabis and look/act/seem like every day chefs, for the most part. The first episode is a fairly poor representation of the show IMO although they still made nice looking, refined meals.

Worth a watch if you’re into cooking competition shows. Of course this one had added twists like using CBD to counteract THC so the celebrity guest judges can actually last the whole meal. BrokeBack

hchang 05-04-2020 09:13 AM

Modern Family is now on Netflix!

Chii 05-04-2020 11:14 PM

Recently watched Ocean's 8 and Extraction~ :lol

roastpuff 05-05-2020 08:50 AM

Watched Rise of Skywalker. Boy am I glad I didn't pay to watch it in theaters - what a mess of a movie.
