Sex education was really good

To the lake, is a Russian post apocalyptic series, it's about a virus, no zombies, but the show is very much like the walking dead

The English dub is pretty good too, so you don't need to worry about subtitles if that's a thing for ya

And Hubie Halloween is classic Adam Sandler, with a ton of actors from all his previous movies appearing in it (not just the usual guys)

Euro7r 10-10-2020 07:30 PM

Just binged both seasons of Cobra Kai.

I thought Hubie Halloween was the worst Sandler movie I've seen lol

That's saying a lot knowing that Little Nicky and Jack and Jill exist. He has 4 timeless classics and the rest are junk.

I watched it last night and the thermos and random item tossing on his bike were worth the watch. Fun to see the characters from his past films and some known actors also from previous films but holy shit was his accent completely retarded. Borderline unbearable.

TouringTeg 10-14-2020 09:29 PM

I only saw the first three seasons of Sons of Anarchy so I am enjoying the rest. What a ride.

We recently enjoyed Followers, the Japanese drama about the modeling/acting industry. Very nice looking show in 4K HDR, and some of the characters were easy to root for, with many having natural charisma that make you want to follow and see more

Just think, Netflix is paying him over 50 million a move..... lol that's nuts.

Don't get me wrong I like a lot of his movies, I also hate a lot of his movies. I don't know if there is any actor I have a more love/hate opinion about.

I'm championing for him all the way to his bank. Do total cheesebag movies with all your buddies, have a great time, make mega bank. What a life.

Just finished Queen's Gambit yesterday. Very well done, and best of all, it's a 7 episode series that actually ends; which is a rarity nowadays.

MarkyMark 11-07-2020 08:53 PM

Queens Gambit was great. I'm not exactly a chess fanatic so I went into this without any expectations but it turned out to be an excellent show.

wreck 11-10-2020 09:01 PM

As others have mentioned, Queens Gambit was excellent.

Liquid_o2 11-11-2020 11:47 AM

Finally finished the second season of You. Didn't expect the season to end that way - what a twist!

I think I will start Queens Gambit based on everyone's reviews.

The Social Dilemma

a 90min documentary about how technology, social media, and fake news is negatively impacting everyone, especially the younger generation. Does explain why people are anti maskers, dont believe in covid, rigging of elections ect. I enjoyed it

wreck 12-23-2020 08:22 AM

just finished Dark.

talk about mentally exhausting.

it should have been 18 episodes rather than 24.

it went from excellent to good by the time it ended.

fsy82 12-24-2020 08:33 AM

Just finished Travelers. It took awile to get going but after it was really good

Teriyaki 12-24-2020 09:53 AM

Watched Alice in Borderland in 2 sittings. Normally not a fan of Japanese live-action as it gets too uncanny but this one actually balanced things quite well. Plot just kept going and going. Seeing how they made the streets of Tokyo absolutely empty was shockingly well-done, still leaves me scratching my head.

I believe it was filmed a little before pre-pendemic Tokyo, but yeah it was amazing to see so many historical areas of Tokyo empty. I ended up finishing season 1 and read the entire manga.

Slifer 01-10-2021 01:18 PM

Just finished watching Away. Highly recommend it if you're into space exploration. 9/10
A little disappointed that Netflix didn't renew the show for another season.

Obsideon 01-18-2021 05:17 PM

I also just started Alice in Borderline. I knew nothing about the manga but hot damn it is INTENSE!... it went from 0 to 60 in a span of 10 minutes lol ...
I'm about halfway, it's like a random mix of Saw + Battle Royale + Ready Player One

68style 01-18-2021 09:28 PM

I just finished Alice in Borderland... it just keeps going man... I was crying at one point for real, I think you'll know what point it is... and I haven't cried watching something since 1986 when Optimus Prime died

320icar 01-18-2021 09:45 PM

Disenchantment finally released the 3rd season

Curious about which point, maybe vaguely reference it. I don't recall any super tearjerking moments off the top of my head.

Agreed, it lights off like a rocket and it just keeps givin and givin.
