For anyone wondering, the Kevin Smith Masters of the Universe is quite good. They respected and paid homage to the universe, character design, everything. Only thing they really changed was Skeletor is no longer a bumbling loser, and is now actually really dangerous.
Edit: More accurately, they respected our memories of the original, because the original was absolute garbage if you go back and watch it
Only thing I really hated was Teela's voice. The acting is fine, but it doesn't match the character AT ALL.
Also a He-Man cartoon was added to Netflix last week, but the art looks awful and I think it's more of a kids cartoon than a nostalgic adult cartoon. If they do a crossover, it'll probably be here.
I like the She-Ra Netflix cartoon, but it's just too much for kids. I hope Smith does a series for her too.

I thought Masters of the Universe: Revelation would be dumb, but i was wrong. It had its cheesy moments (to pay homage to the original as you put it), but also dealt with some more serious issues. And that cliffhanger at the end of episode 5!
Teela is Buffy the Vampire Slayer, lol

It was an awesome movie, I remember watching it when I was really young and didn't know wtf the movie was about, and was subsequently mind blown lol.
America turned it into Hunger Games, pretty clear the inspiration of that was from Battle Royale but the author feigned ignorance and said she's never heard of it
I have been hearing a lot about Squid Game too, haven't got around to watch it yet, but based on the premise, it's like Korea's version of Alice in Borderland? (which I really enjoyed)
Do you guys suggest watching it in English or the original Korean audio with English subtitle?

Lately I have enjoyed Manifest, Brooklyn 99, and Homeland Season 8. I'm sure most have seen them but Wolf of Wall Street, Edge of Tomorrow and Imitation Game are great movies.
On Amazon Prime I had to watch all seasons of Fear the Walking Dead. I love all things Walking Dead.

We’ve been watching the dubbed version. My wife isn’t a fan of reading subtitles as your attention can get drawn away from the whole show and you can miss subtleties.
It’s fine for us..

Can't wait for this movie on Amazon prime. Based on a true story. Trailer already close to 7 million views. I believe this may be Amazon primes biggest movie release.
Edit: ok finished the show now. Seems like she's more triggered about improper translation which I can understand.
But for someone like myself that can't speak Korean, obviously I wouldn't notice. But I don't really feel like I missed anything even with this new information.

I wasn't a fan of how it ended though. Too many things unanswered, and the twist felt pointless, like a twist just for the sake of a twist. It definitely "weakened" the event in ep6...
Some story arcs just felt like it lead to no where. What was the point of the organ harvesting arc? What was the point of the cop infiltrating the island if it lead to nothing? Considering the creator of the series didn't really plan a story for the 2nd season yet... then wtf? Maybe he just left a bunch of open ended stories for the ability to tie into should he decide to make a 2nd season?
