Is House of Cards worth getting into? The first few minutes bored me. Posted via RS Mobile
It's very akin to shows like The Newsroom or West Wing. I love these types of shows, especially when they're well written, but they're definitely not for everyone. Try watching a couple episodes before you pass it by, though.
Homeland just came out for (Canadian) Netflix. I'm about 7 episodes in the first season and I still find myself so incredibly bored by it. Do any of you watch it? Does it get any better? Right now I'm still confused as to how this show single-handedly beat the likes of Breaking Bad, and ending Mad Men's amazing streak at the Emmys.

it does get better. finale is great. season 2 is better.
season 1 sucks 'cause it's kinda predictable. Him getting close to being caught and finding ways to escape blah blah blah. I was afraid to watch it at first because of that.

My wife recommended Boys Over Flowers, the Korean adaptation of Hana Yori Dango manga. I'm only 3 episodes in, but I am hooked. It's live-action, but it's got some anime flair to it. Now, I want to check out the original anime.
Watching S1 now. I love it. Great cast. Great acting. GF gets lost with all the jargon, but if you take it at face value it's a great series imo.
Feb. 14th can't come soon enough.

its been on break forever.
June/July 2014. With Netflix really drawn to releasing on big days/holidays, I'm thinking 4th of July weekend. But that's my guess, and not based on anything at all. Another great Netflix series. A nice break from something like HoC lol
Just noticed that one of my all time favorite movies is on Netflix now: City of God. The story and direction is amazing and the cinematography is top notch. Truly worth watching, even if you don't normally watch foreign films. The performances of the child actors (many of whom weren't even actors) are world class. Fair warning though, it's a pretty brutal film so not necessarily for the faint of heart.
Ignore the fact that the best trailer I could find is in Italian (the film is actually in Portuguese with English subtitles)

It's not the stuff you eat out of your sisters gash, it's a handy little tool for breaking up sentences so they don't look like nonsensical retard garbage.
