Being a HUGE Star Wars fan, I binged the whole thing right away. And whoa~ it was OMFG good...
I love the Clone Wars, and regard it as one of the best series within the SW universe, so naturally I was already going into this with some positive bias. But even then, the series blew me away. Each episode feels like the best of the CW, but with the intensity condensed and distilled from the 20 - 25 min you get in CW into those 10, 12 minutes so that it hits hard like an expresso.
I still dislike Windu, and Tales further illustrate how the Jedi Council is a joke. The Clone Wars Anakin is still the best version of himself, and Ahsoka is as awesome as ever.
Spoiler!
And Tales totally reinvented Dooku into a far more sophisticated character than the second fiddle villain that he was in the Prequels and CW, to the point where...
Ahsoka's arc won't make any sense if you haven't watched the Clone Wars, but Dooku's arc will if you've watched the prequels. I didn't notice any lip sync issues with it, but I don't recall noticing any with Clone Wars either.
Synching didn't have 'issues' when I went to check it out, it was just bad quality. Along with the bad animation and ugly art, it was really impossible to get into
It's unfortunate that you don't like the animation style of the Clone Wars, but I can see how it may not be everyone's cup of tea. The first couple of episodes were all over the place, and it wasn't until maybe 1/2 way through the first season when they found its footing. But there were good reasons the series made it thru 7th seasons and spawned multiple spinoffs.
Still, if you can't get into it, then you can't get into it.
I randomly stumbled on this a few weeks ago. It was a lot better than I expected. I never played the game but I think it's a standalone story with original characters.
NSFW trailer, it has quick cutscenes of nudity.
The show itself has a several scenes with nudity.
I think the trailer can give you a sense of the tone of the show. It looks very action pack in there, but it has a good story too. The pacing of the show is quick.

I watched the first ep and put it in my back pocket for when I'm in the mood for a bombastic show like that. Which is usually not when I watch TV, chilling at night before bed

It was good! And I say that as someone who hates cyborg like characters
(remember that safety commercial from when we were kids with that cyborg kid who loses a limb? creeped me the hell out)
I tapped out after Episode 2, but went back after further recommendations. The show really starts to pick up and get good once the main character gets decked out and starts kicking ass.

Damn, that's a weird place to tap out imo, lol.
But I guess I was enjoying the show more. I had to jump into ep 3 immediately.

i never liked the clone wars animation, reason why i passed on it originally, but something made me watch a few episodes many years later and it's amazing storytelling. even kept going and watched the bad batch
ahsoka is amazing in it and by far my fav star wars character

I know
I dunno, it was the scene when the main character was on the moon with that girl. I figured the show was going to turn into some love-story type anime, so I tapped out.
I'm glad I went back, story got way better after that particular sequence.

Oh I'll check it out, I just have to be in the mood.. It's more of an early evening show than right before bed, but lately that's the only time I've had time to watch TV

haha, I got more hooked after that particular scene. I thought it was pretty epic and great soundtrack.
Spoiler!
Well at the very end of ep2, I was kind of mad, cause he straight up got set up. lol
But it all ties back in nicely with the ending.
Got me in the feels.

I'll go down to 720p to save some money. 1080p on Netflix isn't great, anyways. Compression artifacts can be seen regularly.
I watch in a browser (HTPC), and I wonder if uBlock would handle blocking the ads on the 5.99 tier.
Definitely thinking about it. I mean it all starts to add up depending on ehat you have. Cable + at least 2 streaming platforms is very common if not more then you potentially throw in Spotify and other things and it can get out of control quick.

Wife and sister bailed out on Andor so I haven't gotten around to finishing the last 2 episodes myself yet lol.. Waiting for a time when I can maybe binge those and then go straight into Rogue One
btw I really love Wednesday! Dumb kids show really, but the characters are great, especially Wednesday.
Kind of wish I had kids to watch these shows with sometimes, Enola Holmes would be great for that too. You dads have it nice with netflix!

I took a train from Melbourne to Sydney and the lady next to me was watching Wednesday, I was expecting it to be a movie not a series, didn't seem too bad
she played it off her laptops speakers so the whole train car got to hear it I guess
