Race tracks open and race tracks close. It's an unfortunate reality. But there are some circuits that we simply couldn't imagine the world carrying on without. Like the Nürburgring Norschleife.
Lamentable as it may be to even ponder, the legendary road-course in Germany is apparently in trouble, and not the kind that Lassie can save them from. The track is reportedly half a billion euros in debt, and while the government apparently wants to help, that support has apparently arrived in the form of indoor roller-coasters and other amusements built by private companies. Unfortunately, all the 'Ring really needed was a new parking lot and some maintenance.
With the unthinkable looming on the horizon, supporters have enlisted one Sabine Schmitz – the Ring Mistress herself – to campaign on their behalf.

well considering its an integral track for the automotive world especially Germanys manufacturers, Europes for that matter, you'd think they would try to save it
lol the owner should just let them pay in crazy long term installments.. or his "mansion" of a house might get vandalized non-stop for the end of time...
Always hear people can run that track DIRT CHEAP. Didn't really research on price though. We pay us$200+ here to run a lapping day here anyway and always hope there's a better track. I much rather run a track like Nurburgring. Although it's pretty tough to the driver/the car.

I have my toll tickets at my parents house in a little shoebox, yes toll tickets are what you pay because legally it's a toll road hahaha I think I paid something like 14 euros each lap, I can't remember. I should frame the tickets...I saved my shoes I used for driving around the track too lol
