| BestBuy Product Replacement Plan
hello just activated a phone from bestbuy and the clerk there persuaded me to get this replacement plan.
i've been searching google with no good results. is this plan worth the extra 10 a month or is the service so shitty i shouldn't even bother with it?
i have a blackberry 9300 and is on the rogers 40$ student plan.
also another question. my data plan is blackberry exclusive so if i switch out the bb for a n8 would i still be able to use the unlimited social networking?
thanks.

$10 a month will buy you a new one on craigslist in a year and a half just keep it, 99% of the time replacement plans are gimmicks

When it comes to buying cell phones from the mall/store/booth...
additional warranty or anything that sounds like warranty = commission

Most replacement plans are not worth it...
the only time its worth while is if you have kids that like the break things or if you know your clumsy.... otherwise devices most of the time will last... if you just got it, can you go back and tell them you dont need it.. if they refuse, then just return the phone.. its should be still covered within 14days or under 30mins of talktime...

well... there is the manufactures warrenty, which is most of the time sufficent. If by any chance he gets one that happens to break down the day after the warrenty then its probably bad luck... but buy the time that happens, theres going to be something newer and better... most people here like to keep their electronic devices update with the latest tech anyways

After a year he's already paid out $120 that could've been used towards a new phone.

If you had a Bold or an Iphone 4 it might be worthwhile, but $10 is significantly more than any other company and best buy PPP SUCKS!

This is only worth it if you have a friend that works there because I know a couple people that works there that's on this plan who 'replaces' their phones every 6 months or so.
So any new phone that looks good, they change it. According to the terms and agreement, it's very vague so there's a 'loophole' where you can just replace it with the most minor defect on your phone with another phone. I saw them changed from a black bold to a white one, to bold 2, to an iphone 4 to a torch in a span of 2 years or so lol.

I used to work at bb. And I can tell you this if you worked there it's awesome every 2-3 months I'll get a new phone. However, for those of you that's not. It's a little different. They check to see if they can fix the phone in store and if they can they won't give you a replacement. Essentially it's a rip if you don't work there. Posted via RS Mobile |

No physical damage or water damage. But csr hinted as long as u can't turn it on, then it's exchanged over the counter....
It has 2 yrs and 3 yrs. let's say if I exchange phones twice in 2 years, it's totally worth it, isn't it?
I love getting new phones all the time. |
