Introduction: Strange Island Guy Hello Revscene. http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-..._3167589_n.jpg My name is Quinn, I've been enjoying life on the island for almost a year now. My life is very different than most, my lifestyle is very frustrating and confusing for most people, but is very automotive centric. I write my own, semi-decent car blog called Speed Hero, as well as help out with the Capital City Drift series at Western Speedway, as an Organizer/Judge/Announcer. I build my own interpretations of vehicles on my own, and try my best to help others. http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-..._2091474_n.jpg I've owned a hell of a lot of cars in the last few years, so many I've lost count, but since moving to the island I've decided to stick with one Chassis and get it exactly how I like. You can see some of the cars I've owned at: The Beginnings The Continues I'm a very opinionated and stubborn car enthusiast, so I apologize ahead of time if some of my posts are strong headed or potentially offensive. I believe strongly in the things I know very well. My Current car, and like I mentioned, locked to, is a '82 Corolla wagon. It has a near complete drive train swap from multiple cars, The modifications are as follows: Stripped shell, working on the sound deadening AE86 4a Subframe Manual Steering rack Power Knuckles AE86 Strut Casings AE86 Vented front discs Spaced tie rods for more steering angle AE86 Steering column Cut Eibachs in front Tokico Blues all around Super thick front sway bar 2.5" lowering blocks rear Welded Diff Working on installing a rear sway 12A Rotary swap is 95% complete One piece driveshaft Quad headlight nose swap Wiring and some plumbing are left. I have a history in car restoration, but my lifestyle limits my resources dramatically so much of the work is a hack job on a severely limited Budget. This is my Second Rotary swapped Corolla, so far, all in I'm roughly at $400. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...agonasnow1.jpg I've joined to further my social network on Vancouver island. I love to trade parts and services for parts and services, swap stories and chat cars. |
Good to have you on RS. but a Corolla with a Rotary? First I was like :crazy2: and then :fullofwin:finally:fuckyea: |

Thanks for the welcome dudes. This is my second rotary corolla. The first was built over a period of 4 days for a finished cost of a $165, all in. lol It was quite and epic build. However, this time I don't have a shop and many tools at my disposal. Taking me longer and more money to do an hack job as it is. We'll see once the drift season starts up. If anyone ever has any Corolla or old Toyota questions, feel free to ask. |
Welcome to RS! I believe you took some good photos of my first Auto-X in the summer. Thanks! |
Heard you many times at the Capital Drift at WS. I have been to the last 3 of them and had a great time. http://www.elocas.com/Car/wing/wing19.jpg |

don't listen to dabears, dude drives an old porsche or a volvo or something |
Plus he often misleads people into believing he's an attractive woman. |
I was trying to find an old post of mine and realized tamas started a fightclub thread about me a couple years ago. I feel like a celebrity. anyway, sorry discoquinn. welcome! |

Drifting is cool...drifting on a public road, in a blind corner in very heavy fog, with no lights on.....not so cool. Right time and place thing applies. Props though to anyone who is not a schoolteacher in Birkenstocks and tie dye, from a gulf island, who will be seen in public driving an old SW. That takes real guts! |
BTW, that spot really keeps my buddies kids up at night with your midnight drifting on that street. |
