I know it's not alcohol, but title reminded me of this...

Fucking Media trying to drag MMA into it. Once one person mentioned MMA they zoned in on it.
RIP sucks that a life ends early on an unfortunate accident like this.
I have played shot for shot but only on the arms never in the chest or stomach.
I couldn't imagine killing my best friend by accident that's gonna mess that kid up for a long time.
Berz out.
+1, it's unfortunate but it makes news coz of the whole MMA angle.
My younger brother got a basketball thrown at his torso when he was in school, which caused him to black out for a few moments. Scary, but similar thing probably happened to this kid. The heart gets jolted physically, skips a beat or something and short circuits.

All my neighbourhood friends in high school started playing this game at lunch called body shots. Just basically stand up fight, but you could only hit the body, no face shots.
It was all fun and games until my friend (130lbs soaking wet) thought it would be fun to challenge "the big guy" (probably high 200's). Too a punch to the gut area, ruptured his spleen. Yada yada yada.
Honestly, this is just a freak accident. I highly doubt the 16yo could punch anywhere near hard enough to stop a physically good heart. Chances are that kid had some serious heart problems that nobody new about. It's sad i'll give you that, but at the same time it's just an accident and I wouldn't hold the 16yo to blame.
Chances are that kid had some serious heart problems that nobody new about.
This was my exact thought last night when I watched the news.

yeah... shot for shot on the arms is an ancient tradition sometimes a couple guys would think its "cool" to do it in the gut but that stopped after about one punch
Punch for punch. Totally forgot about that... I always thought I lost those until my buddy showed me the damage I did once. Bony knuckles ftw! Posted via RS Mobile
