Don't get upset because you posted some BS and got caught. Next time, do some research before posting so you don't look like a fool. It's clear you're a huge fan of BMW's. Being a fan, reading their brochures/owners manuals or even owning a couple does not make you an authority on them.

BTW, I work for BMW. Specifically, I diagnose problems with their electrical, electronic and computer/software systems. So the next time you want to post more of your infinite BMW knowldge, feel free to do so. And if you post some BS, I'm gonna call you on it.



And just to head off the inevitable: To other RS members, please don't PM me asking for help/advice fixing your BMW. It would be a conflict of interest for me to "work" on the side. All I'm going to do is direct you to the dealer anyway.

If someone won't tell you what they do then it's probably because it doesn't jive with their internet persona.

Once you tell people where you work or your education you've basically walked over to the social ladder, picked out a rung and said "this is where I'm at". Other people can say "oh, that guy's doing pretty good" whereas others might say "shit, I make 10 times what he does".

Usually it's the fakes who won't say anything about what they do so they can keep up their fake internet personality.
