Now put him behind the wheel of a Porsche 930 turbo, that would be a totally different story. It actually takes alot of skill to drive one of those beasts hard, without crashing or sliding wildly out of control.

So the conclusion, Z3guy takes the crown with the 2004 GT3 from Marco911's 2003 996 C4S.

Pick up any of their magazines...it's in the fine print.
PSM is my friend. | Well, I ran out of things. You have essentially dug your own grave with this thread. You're coming across as a typical "greater than thou" figure, I feel sorry for you and whoever you bring into this world.
So... Does it actually tell you what they do? Because from the sounds of it what they're doing is they would be adjusting the car for the density altitude at which the testing is done, incase you're retarded this is pressure altitude corrected for the temperature on that day. The only time this changes a lot are on days when the pressure is excessively "off". That, and you have to be at altitude... Not a couple hundred feet above sea level.
Now, what this density altitude does for us is correct the "performance" for however high that the car feels like it's at. Hence, if you're high up or on a hot day when the air is less dense the car will perform poorly.
That being said, I've never heard of using this method to correct say an acceleration graph. Which is what they would have to "fix". I use it to determine speeds while cruising.
Unless of course they are re-tuning the machine everyday they test it in order to perform at it's peak on the day.
And to expand on that last point... Are they then driving the car then putting the numbers into a formula which would put the acceleration as if the car was driving in -10 weather?
And, you fail for needing a computer to drive your car. Quote:

Something isn't adding up here... let me get this straight, you brought your second quickest car into a "who has the quickest car" thread?
I have a feeling this thread is going to become the "who has the quickest car with a beige (or other colour) interior on RS?" or "who has the quickest car with a c4s badge on the trunk" thread. You obviously have more self esteem/confidence issues than RS can help you with. Take that money and visit a shrink.

Are the rules not general enough for anyone to participate? 0-60 and 1/4 mile are pretty standard measures, and the data is objective and not subject to manipulation.
The point is certainly not for me to win, but to get a ranking of the quickest cars in here. Many people here have pretty fast cars but won't bother to participate if they see someone has a quicker car than them. As I stated earlier, I was pretty surprised that an 8 yr old Porsche even made it to the top 3 here.

Consider for a moment the demographics of revscene and maybe you won't be that surprised. Why not start this thread on the Porsche forums? I'm sure you'll find that your cars aren't even going to be top 20.
And you asked who has the fastest stock car? With no actual proof that you can actually drive that fast or any timeslips. Question might as well be "Who here has the most money?". I don't know about you but people don't ask that question because it comes of as being cocky or arrogant. Just saying.

Marco911 what's the fastest time you've run in the quarter Mile... please post a timeslip to back it up. If you can't post up a time slip Get The Fuck OUT of your own thread.
Berz out.

I think this could actually be a fun thread if marco wasn't the one to start it. it would be cool to compare each others cars.. it *is* a car forum after all.

Berz out. | He will never be able to produce a timeslip from the track to back up his claims,he will simply come up with a lame excuse,or dodge the subject with more bench racing.

Marco's times were generated by a car and driver computer.
