So each month I would just be paying $29/month correct?

People are saying there's hidden fees within that contract?
Anyone have experience with this stuff at fitness world?

I skimmed the contract over when I signed up, and i'm pretty sure you'll just be paying the $29+tax/month.

I was a member for 7 years, and never had an issue with this kind of stuff at fitness world.

how did you people get a 29.99 fitness world promotion?

i tried a 7 day pass with the fitness world in Burnaby and the sales rep said he would give me a special with an initiation fee of 124.99 dollars 44.99 dollars a month for 12 months access to all the fitness world

when i signed up they told me if i was switching over from another gym i could get that rate.

do you know when the new gym is going to open? they told me April, but it doesnt look like its going to open this month

chin3se604 04-12-2011 12:10 PM

the people at burnaby told me by next month

but the people at richmond told me it'll be a while, def not next month...

does anyone know how to get the steve nash sports club membership for a cheaper rate?

Marioo1991 04-12-2011 12:21 PM

Just confirmed with the general manager, it's scheduled to open early May

Chronix 04-12-2011 12:27 PM

I got mine for 30 per as well at the brentwood location. dude was trying to get me to sign the $39 per but I managed to negotiate to 30. the thing is that they dont have a set rate for each phases in fitness world. even if they have a higher "phase 2/3" rate, they will still go down to phase 1 prices. just need to negotiate them like crazy. they'd rather you sign up then walk away without anything.

Marioo1991 04-13-2011 06:07 AM

GM told me they have phase 2 presale membership going on now. $34/mth, but he said only till tomorrow

its pretty nice, still got that new smell lol. freeweight selection isnt bad too..

I thought parking was gonna be a nightmare but apparently fitness world members can park anywhere else around there, didnt have a problem getting a spot.

Chronix 05-12-2011 08:09 PM

not really, but it just opened on wednesday so who knows. I think its probably gonna get pretty busy soon.

dealt 05-13-2011 07:25 AM

If you're working out in the weights area, make sure to bring a water bottle because the closest water fountains are located at the other end of the gym (cardio area). Quite a huge annoyance for me, but I guess for some, they can check out the "view".

I went around 4pm yesterday and it was decent. Every machine I needed to use I didn't have to wait.

teddyah 05-13-2011 08:36 AM

pretty good, and its not hard to see since the cardio machines are in between the weights and changeroom/water fountains

I agree with dealt though that its annoying that the water fountains are way on the other side. They should have at least put one by the free weights

wuuhoo 05-13-2011 11:07 AM

is there a swimming pool/sauna?
