Haven't tried the extreme typhoon, but the normal $6 winter wash or w.e they call it is pretty useless, unless your car is extremely filthy. I took in my dad's Venza and it left the passenger side below the shoulder line with a film of dust. Did a better job on my astra but either way the drying system sucks, bring a towel and don't go on a cold day or else it will freeze and look even worse. I haven't washed my astra in at least a month so maybe it's about time. You can't really do much better for $6 I guess

Very true about the quality, but for $6 for a quick rinse after riding on salted/sanded roads are not bad imo. Decent for a lazy fuck like me who haven't washed the car since October.
I bought 2 of those, it's better to pay $6 to get blasted for an extra minute or two rather than the one minute winter shower.

I do the $6 wash during winter when its cold outside.
If you go through once then its filthy still, but I usually go through three times since they guarantee you'll be satisfied or you can go through again for free.

be careful with those touchless washes. they reuse the same water. they have to use harsh detergents which will end up stripping any wax you applied for winter protection.
better to just pay for those coin operated pressure washed or buy some Optimum no rinse(ONR).

Thats my experience at least.

The Guaranteed Clean is meant to be a hand wash, but when the guys are busy (or lazy) they will sometimes just offer for you to go through the automatic again.
Washworld is now also scrubbing your wheels & windshield before you go through the touchless.

Just went through the touchless at Washworld Richmond. Wasn't that impressive and for what they charge ($18) for the top of the line wash, it's not really that clean. Any gas stations' touchless will do the same thing for $12. Also, their "galeforce" dryer is terrible at drying.
I recommend the Husky at marine and 70th, or Esso at marine and fraser. These two places have excellent dryers.

I went to WashWorld last week. Horrible place.
- 1st off, I was told by the LubeWorld staff...that both of the Washworld staff was "sent home for the day" wtf!
- 10 minutes later... a guy finally showed up
- Refused to accept my coupon at first, giving me all these bs
- Saw some bird mark on my drivers window. Asked if I have paper towel...and told me to wipe it myself.
- The wash itself, as mentioned above... doesn't fully clean your car nor dries it right.
- Upon finishing, I parked my car at the front, did a 360 check before leaving. The attendant came up to me... and asked:
Attendant: Were you taking pictures before the wash?
Me: Yes?
A: Why did you do that @@ *shitty attitude*
M: Just for before and after?
A: *speechless*
M: Why? Am I not allowed to take pictures of my ride?
A: *speechless* Uhh...
M: Anything else? bye!
Won't be back to WashWorld. Not even if it's free.
It's quite far and all the way by Steveson too.
