Just saw the film last night, thought it was a good film but not great, IMO The Dark Knight was much better. Two superficial things bugged me about the film, how tiny Hardy was for playing Bane and seeing Hines Ward & Rapistberger aka Roethlisberger in the film pissed me off, but thats just me since I absolutely detest/hate with a passion the Steelers and especially those 2.

A Nolanized Penguin would have been a much more interesting villain. Bane was just... a dude who was kind of big, and a good fighter.

I dunno about that, although I would've liked to have seen a Nolanized Penguin too and especially Riddler. Bane was pretty terrifying in this movie, physically stronger and just as intelligent as Batman

It was pretty good but i would rate it as TDK>BB>TDKR
heath ledger as the joker was just too good. The lines that he said how him and batman need each other or there would be no purpose, and also love the part how joker was telling people how he got his scars but changed his story everytime, showed a true psychopath.

Finally saw the movie last night! I thought it was good but third best out of the triology with the second one being the best.
I've an even bigger fan of the inception chick now.

I've never seen a stupider dumber adaptation of brucewayne/batman till I watched this movie.
It was entertaining, but the movie was way to long and tried to cram as much in as possible. It needed refining, and there were alot of plot holes and WTF moments.
I think that article 2 posts above explains mostly why I hated it.
and before anyone says OMG ITS A MOVIE SHIT HAPPENS THAT WOULDNT OCCUR IN REAL LIFE.
except nolan tried to make his adaptation of batman as real as possible, and thats where the movie failed. Now if batman was actually portrayed like a superhero, it would have been a better movie.
theres an article from joss whedon discussing it but I can't find it right now.
edit: this is what bugged me most Quote:
Bruce Wayne Forgets to Do Proper Background Checks – You would think that after Ra’s al Ghul and members of the League of Shadows crashed Wayne’s birthday party and burnt down the Wayne mansion that a stricter security policy would have been implemented for Wayne Manor events. First he hires a maid who’s actually a notorious cat burglar, then he hires a woman to head his board who’s actually the daughter of one of the most villainous individuals out there. Shouldn’t he have done a little more digging before surrounding himself with these individuals? Speaking of which, if Anne Hathaway’s Selina is easily able to adopt fake identities and hack super encrypted passwords (like the one on Wayne’s expensive safe) why does she need the Clean Slate program so badly? I mean, its probably the worst MacGuffin in the Nolan Batman trilogy.

i find the final movie of a trilogy seems to be the worse dunno why. ie transformers, spiderman, matrix, lotr, T3 was the worse one, batman.

And I believe most people found the 3rd LOTR to be the best.

Come on now, the absolute worst example of this is Highlander. Besides the fact that the second and third movies are amongst the worst dreck ever committed to film, every movie and TV series that came after it skewers the entire premise and should never have existed - THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE.

Saw it last night. Avoided this thread until I had seen it. Personally I would have liked to have seen Bane a little bigger. While they did a good job at making him seem faster/stronger than Batman the visual effect was severely lacking. I also didn't like how easily Wayne admitted he was Batman. Some rookie cop figures it out before good ole' Gordon?
Overall it was a good watch. Not the kind I would go see again like the 2nd one but not terrible. I guess when your a fan of the comics it's harder to just enjoy the movie for what it meant to be.
Berz out.

Saw it last night as well (UltraAVX FTW... 11:15pm FTL *yawn*). Started off GREAT... seemed to get a little too cluttered toward the end. My only real beef is that the amount of stuff Nolan tried to cram in should have made at least a half-hour longer movie. Lots of foreshadowing throughout the buildup, some well-done, but some was just a bit too obvious - I would have expected a little more subtlety.
Oh, and... I appreciate that Nolan wanted to leave some openings for someone else to spin off new stories, but... too many contradictions there for me, it's like he tried a little too hard to leave too many openings and it just got clumsy.
On the whole though, a good finish to the story... pretty exciting movie.

We did the reserve seating AVX theater. Made life a lot easier and it wasn't that much more $ than the regular tickets especially on cheap tuesday.
I'm actually glad they offered this for the movie.

Hell ya. It was well worth paying $12.50 for reserved IMAX seats. No worries about showing up super early and sitting through crappy ads you can't mute.

You guys know that Landmark in New West has reserve seating for their regular theatres? It's cheaper and the seats are better and the prices aren't stupidly inflated with stupid stuff like AVX and what not.
Cineplex is a joke.

Cineplex is a joke. | But that means I'd have to drive to New West and watch it in a regular theater at the Landmark.
No thanks.
