I forgot what the number was to forward it, but depending on your telephone plan, there is a extra fee

Cost,if any, will come from the landline side

For ur cell it'll just be a regular incoming call which will use your airtime depending on your plan

I believe so. I'm sure there's a list of commands on Telus' web site some where or you can call their customer services and ask them.

Just text the guy with your cell #?

If you have voicemail on your land line, I guess you could change your message and to let your family friend know what number to reach you at?

Im not sure, but google voice might be able to help in this situation. I know it can be used for call forwarding, just maybe not how you want it to be used.

Google voice doesn't fully work in canada yet IIRC you can only dial out. It also doesn't solve the OP's problem of forwarding his home phone.
