Nice! Sounds like you gave 'er. That's a great time for no training!

So I tried trail running this weekend. Ended up mostly hiking Lynn Valley to Grouse and back. About 20k. Yep definitely felt like running a marathon. Pretty slippery, went down twice, wasn't bad though, not even a scrape. Weather was great though! Cold enough not to sweat or have bugs. Tough on the knees and great for conditioning ankles it seems because of the uneven terrain. Lynn Valley always feels so touristy though. The occasional person out there without manners really annoys me.

nice, i've done a portion of the baden powell as well, just from deep cove to the suspension bridge.

you should try the lynn loop up in lynn headwaters park, that's an awesome run! it's only about 5k but is slightly technical. if you want a little longer you can run straight up north to norvan falls! adds about 10k and is more technical but you can take a dip in the falls in the summer.

59:01 for a 16.1km (10 mile) race this morning. Me and a friend were keeping the leader in our sights but I blew up at 14k and had to let them go. No way to describe the last few kms other than brutal (and I still have a headache 8 hrs after the finish). Running can be fun and feel great, and other times be nothing but pain

Annual sidewalk sale is now on down at the Burnaby Running Room at Market Crossing. Some good deals to be had, especially on clothing.

Anyone here still racing? A busy June on our local circuit with a 5k, 15k, and 10k in consecutive weekends and then almost a month off. The upcoming 10k is Saturday evening and the forecast is for 33 degrees...could be a very painful one.
