it's not as if i would expect a thank you (RS came thru for that anyways), but it would be nice and i sure as hell would thank a person if they found either of my dogs!
i try not to be so cynical so perhaps someone other than the family picked him up didn't want to let me know. i suppose that's a tad cynical too hah..
Did you ask the shelter to leave the owners your phone number. Otherwise how would they get in contact with you. I'm sure the shelter would not simply give out your number without permission even if the owners asked due to privacy issues.

that's true, i didn't tell them explicitly to have the family call me but i sure as hell wouldn't have minded at all. i did leave all of my information (name, phone number and address) on the form they had me fill out. at the time, i felt like it would be a little awkward asking the shelter request that the family call me. it's probably too late now but i could give it a shot.
