^ damn dude...i hate movies that are in 3d. Avatar was cool in 3D, and a few other animated movies are cool in 3d, but i HATE IT when it isn't animated and 3D. Green hornet, sanctum, and a bunch of other movies should not have been done in 3D!

Avatar, and some animated features I've seen lately (How to tame your dragon in particular) are beautiful and enhanced by 3d but for the most part it's both annoying and a blatant money grab. I'm finding it's getting harder to find 2D versions of 3D releases now too We wanted to go see the Green Hornet but couldn't find a local theater where it was playing in anything BUT 3D.

3D is fine if it is subtly used or implemented in order to enhance the scene. The problem with 3D is when it is tacked on, like when they specifically have badly rendered objects fly towards you just to justify the 15 dollar 3d ticket price.
if anyone is planning on watching the midnight showing on the 22nd at metropolis, i jumped the gun and bought tickets without asking my girlfriend if she could make the showing; needless to say, she won't be able to, so if anyone wants my tickets below cost..pm me!
