Oh shiet: Top Gear China

http://jalopnik.com/#!topgear/5753835

LOL This is gonna be epically wrong in so many ways. Will you be watching that?

LancerBoy 02-07-2011 07:19 AM

Why is it epically wrong? Please explain.

China is the only country right now doing the most purchases on high-end vehicles. At any China dealership, the wait list for a Mercedes is 6 months minimum. People pay $20,000 more to jump the line.

Don't you mean "epically Wong in so many ways"?.

BlackZRoadster 02-07-2011 08:56 AM

China is such a huge market , top gear is smart to invest in "Top Gear China".

bloodmack 02-07-2011 10:28 AM

i think the show is based in China, but doesn't mean they will be reviewing chinese made cars, it's going to be any car make :fullofwin:

AccordCoupedd 02-07-2011 12:34 PM

When's it starting?

asian_XL 02-07-2011 01:46 PM

Top Gear Australia is awful
Top Gear USA is awful
Top Gear China will be awful for English viewers, but I can bet 1/4 of the world population will be watching it and think it's awesome

hk20000 02-07-2011 01:51 PM

Yeah I don't think it needs explanation why it will fail miserably. China top gear will fail the same way the russian one did - where no one understands humour.

Watch them so-called comedy shows from your cctv channel on shaw and you'd think "wtf is this shit" even if you understand the language.

They will be so patriotic to their own cars like those russian fools and ruin the show.

i know this is not gonna work cuz 1st of if u look at top gear uk u know they are very controversial, while in china 99% of the car companies in china get there fundings from the government so if u make fun of the car companies then ur making fun of the government

& CCTV is national from government tv network while top gear is a very controversial in every way so we know its not gonna work for sure & if it did i bet u that the show will suck even more then US or Aussie version

orange7 02-07-2011 05:02 PM

What the hell does having rich people in China have to do with a super censored top gear?
Last time I checked the wealth of people in England had nothing to do with the entertainment value of Top Gear. Most people in the uk drive economy hatchbacks but that doesnt stop them from testing Lambos.

StylinRed 02-09-2011 11:46 AM
