The N9 hasn't been revealed yet

the one i showed before (that looked like a mini macbook) that design has been scrapped

but its going to be running MeeGO and so far what we've seen of MeeGo it looks deadly awesome I hope they'll be able to port over a majority of its UI features onto Symbian as they said they would, through QT

Intel/Nokia have a Medfield device prototype out and people are wondering if the the New iteration of the N9 body style is actually the medfield device but so far that's just rumors (medfield has a dual-code 1.6ghz chip 1gig ram video card etc etc and can perform light years ahead of the optrix i thin it was in benchmarking)

anyway people are hoping to get a peak at it either at MWC (probably not since apparently there wont be any reveals) or the next MeeGo Event in April -_-

On a side note Alien Davik, a QT based, App allows Android Apps to be run on MeeGo (or Symbian since its QT too) without any performance issues
Sooo that means if there's any app you can think of giving up on Android will work on MeeGo/Symbian/Maemo

because android sucks in comparison (and im not trolling here) the only problem people had was "oh symbian lags" but that was just the n97 and its a totally different Symbian now...

then it became "oh the OS looks so outdated..." but i think it looks sleek it's subjective + you can download themes or make your own, or if you still dont like it you can download totally refreshed UIs with programs like SPB Mobile Shell and make the UI look like anything you want

then it became "oh the browser sucks" what browser doesnt have its issues? hell iOS doesn't even have flash.... im personally fine with it, but if you don't like it you can download Opera... and if you still don't like it Symbian is coming out with a new browser for the PR 2.0 firmware

then there are the ignorant arguments like "oh its using old sucky hardware" well that's a perk of symbian it doesn't drain the cpu and it utilizes the gpu that's why we're able to play games and run apps that aren't dumbed down found on other OS's

and there's the "Oh it has no Apps it sucks" that WAS true somewhat (you had apps but they werent on the app store) well the OVI store is up to 30,000 apps and counting there are about 7million or more downloads a day

but what about Android? apps are dependent on the Device you cant use all of them across the board

Apple? sure there are a shitload of apps.... a lot of useless garbage apps (they even have a word for them but i dunno what it is)

Nokia has great hardware great great hardware from the impeccable build quality to the top of the line materials, the vaunted cameras etc etc

here's a guys comment in reply to trolls on engadget that is pretty good

But the key issue with your arguments against Nokia's schedule is, as others have said, that the N8 is ALREADY in a wonderful state. Please show me where folders were on the iPhone since inception? Where multitasking is on the iPhone today (iPhone does not have multitasking no matter what Apple Marketing tells me)? Where full featured bluetooth stack is on Android and iPhone like on the N8? Where full featured HDMI out is on iPhone or Android (N8 can drive phone screen and HDMI out independently and at different resolutions, as shown on Nokia's BigScreen app, and handle the UIs on both - where is this on ANY competitor phone?). Where is Dolby Surround Sound out on any other phone? Where is the physical robustness on any competitor to the N8 (iPhones break from a waist height drop! Androids are universally cheap and nasty plastic). Where are the GREAT cameras on iPhone or Android? Where is the superior audio out handling through the headphone socket and/or full Bluetooth headphone support in competitors to the N8? Where is the superior battery life on Symbian rivals? Where is an Android phone as cheap and powerful as the N8? Where is the history of Google and Apple rolling out the updates users want on time and without industry criticism?

well, it's like buying a Fastest and best Computer out to date only that it can't game or run the best apps, cuz no game or apps are out for it. Where as Android/Apple are middle ground PCs but they have all the apps that the make the world go around.

Which one will you choose?

no people are confused with that a little

The phone was never announced, but what was leaked was the Nokia N9-00 (the mini-mac looking one) and that was canceled

The Nokia N9-01 on the other hand is supposedly well on it's way (people are saying its the Intel Medfield device that was leaked with the dual-core 1.6ghz phone)

as for rk604 nokia sold 500million phones in 2010 (1/5th of which were smartphones) that's not a 'few' but i see what you're saying

the original one n9-00 (mac looking one) was leaked in images but yeah it hasn't been officially announced

people think it will be announced on Friday, if not in April during the MEEGO summit (probably Friday)
